I'm the biggest TWalk fan in the world, and I have no problem with sitting him vs. lefties. His flukish 2005 aside (don't even look at 04, not nearly enough ABs vs. LHP to conclude anything), Walker has been pretty bad against lefties throughout his career. Is it possible that at 32, Walk suddenly figured out how to hit lefties? I suppose, but I doubt it and would sooner attribute his 2005 line vs. lhp to luck. Straight platoon is fine with me. yep same here. Walker will still get most of the starts, but Hairston will also get his share against lefties. I have no problem with the platoon at 2nd between Walker and Hairston.

i'd rather have the 6 seed and play New Jersey over having the 5 seed and having to play Cleveland. We were 0-4 against the Cavs this year and 2-1 against the Nets. so yeah, I really want to get that 6th seed :)

1 out of 5th too and we own the tiebreaker on the Wiz as we took 3 of 4 from them in the season series :D

Jaxx win in 12 thanks to the triple by EPatt! Patterson went 4/5 today with 2 singles, a double, a triple, an RBI and a walk. Very good game for EPatt :D -
that was an absolutely unreal 4th quarter. What a huge win for the Bulls. We are now only 1 out of 5th, 6th, and 7th and we have a 1 game lead over Philly as well as the tiebreaker.

well Otis said he couldn't make the thread if the Cubs won, so I got the first post in the thread meaning I can hopefully nail down the save for Otis tomorrow. Cubs had a great game today getting a solid effort from Marshall and a real good effort from the offense. Pitching matchup: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_425532.jpg #57 Jerome Williams, 0-0 3.60 ERA. Williams is making his first start of the year after spending the first week and a half in the bullpen. http://pittsburgh.pirates.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_435043.jpg #57 Zach Duke, 0-1 6.55 ERA. Duke had a pretty good outing against us if I recall at Wrigley last year. bottom line is that we're 6-3. Let's make it 7-3 with a W tomorrow :D
