  1. Iowa ties Nashville at 1 in the 4th on an RBI single by Soto scoring The Riot.
  2. yep they have sounded real good, Ron. The techincal gaffes were kind of annoying, but it seems like they have fixed that lately. Keep up the good work Ron!
  3. yeah I saw that. Moronotti pretty much said the Bulls have no chance. I hate that guy.
  4. i don't mind the games on Friday and Saturday that start at 9. But yeah, the next week is going to be pretty bad on the amount of hours of sleep. i'll watch...the Cubs are an addiction. No matter how bad they are, you just can't stop watching
  5. not going to happen. The injuries will be used as an excuse for the 3rd straight year.
  6. Hey David! This may seem like a pretty dumb question, but what is the biggest transition facing hitters from Triple A to the majors? Another question I have for you is what do you plan on working the most on, pitch selection wise, in your time in Iowa? I'm hoping you can continue to dominate the hitters in Iowa like you did in the beginning of the season and you'll be back up here in no time!
  7. the way we've lost our 3 games, as well as our offense's struggles the last week or so have some cause for concern. Yeah we lost DLee, but our offense should still be able to produce with guys like ARam, Barrett, and Walker in the lineup. Our pitching has been respectable as well until these last 3 losses. I just think our pen's arms are going to be worn out by the time the stretch run happens because of all of these beatings we are taking right now. Besides Marshall's last 2 starts and Maddux throughout the season, our starters are really only going 5 innings every start.
  8. what was that, a 5 pitch inning? unbelievable.
  9. uh, that was a, interesting 7th inning stretch.
  10. /begin rant (not in the best mood, so sorry if i get anyone mad) i come home to see THIS? This is awful. Milwaukee is somewhat understandable (ok not really) but freaking PITTSBURGH?!?! Are you KIDDING ME? How can we be down 8-0 to this group of bums? Zach Duke who came into this game with a 4.50 ERA shuts us completely down for the 2nd game already this season. Even if Guzman was on today, we probably would still lose this game because of our horrid/anemic/bad offense. And now we are going to go out west where we have sucked for ages (besides the 05 season). I have no confidence in this team whatsoever right now. The last 3 losses have been blowout losses. Unacceptable. /end rant
  11. I disagree. Its never to early to start thinking about it, cuz you only play some teams 2 home and away. You don't start thinking about the Wild Card till LATE June at the easliest. As otis so blountly put it..."it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to early to start thinking WC." yeah i agree, why are people giving up on the division already???
  12. 1st and 2nd for the Cubs with 2 outs. A base hit should score Jerry with his speed.
  13. Peoria loses the 2nd game of the doubleheader 2-0. 2 run homer in the 7th by SW Michigan won it. Atkins had a real good start throwing 6 innings of 5 hit ball. He only walked 1 while striking out 8. The offense was non-existant though for Peoria as they only managed 3 hits. Jaxx down 6-3 in the 6th.
  14. Hairston to run for Walker and Torres will come in to face ARam.
