  1. But power hitters like Mabry tend to strike out frequently. Adam Dunn strikes out a lot, too, but his walks and homeruns more than make up for the whiffs. I think you need to average a little better than one home run every 35 at bats during the course of your major league career to be considered a power hitter. So you're saying you don't consider Dunn a power hitter :?: uh, I'm pretty sure Dunn hits a homer in a shorter span than once in every 35 AB's. The only things they have in common is that they are left handed and that they play the OF/1B. Everything else is a pretty bad comparison between Mabry and Dunn.
  2. does this stat count the hit that Ohman had yesterday, or just Starting Pitchers?

  4. too bad we can't see our #7 hitter as the #2 hitter.
  5. Mabry with yet another K. He was striking out on an average of once every 3.5 AB's or so before today's game. That'll just help that stat out.
  6. well it looked like that was going to be a great inning for Guzman...until that.
  7. ARam a double off the right-center field wall scoring Cedeno! Tied at 1
  8. Neifi with a shallow fly out. What else is new?
  9. wow, what a cheap hit that was. We SUCK.
  10. that's an interesting way to start it...
  11. yeah I'm pretty sure he played in right a few times last year.
  12. the only thing worse would've been seeing him in the lineup for ARam. For some reason, I think Dusty will consider that for a future reference though.
  13. lineup courtesy of ESPN1000: Pierre-CF Perez-2B Cedeno-SS Ramirez-3B Barrett-C Mabry-1B Murton-LF Hairston-RF Guzman-P are we seriously trying to lose today?
  14. Colorado Springs scored 3 in the 3rd, but Felix tied it up in the bottom half with his 2nd long ball of the year!
  15. Iowa already up 2-0 in the 2nd. Restovich had an RBI single scoring Ojeda in the 1st and Deardorff hit a solo homer in the 2nd :) Jaxx are tied at 1 in the 2nd. Wells gave up a leadoff double and Mississippi manufactured the run to tie it up. The Jaxx got their run on a play that consisted of 2 errors.
  16. Daytona down 3-0 in the bottom of the 4th. Johnson gave up a 2 run homer in the 3rd.
  17. I believe it's supposed to rain the whole day tomorrow. unfortunately (maybe fortunately in the Cubs case), Mother Nature is probably going to win.
  18. Well, when a player's statistics say that he makes outs around 90% of the time, it is applicable. Don't go crazy just because the guy can get one hit in a game that is long over. I'd imagine having Bynum in the lineup twice a week would get OLD. and I would have to agree.
  19. yeah the game has also been out of reach since the 1st inning.
  20. Baker did the same thing last night with Zambrano.
