  1. I think Wichita was, again, without their best player. Still, they're struggling right now. Well, that explains that then. Nope.. Couisnard played. Wow. There goes that then. SIU should definitely be able to beat them at the Arena on New Year's Day.

  3. It sure looked like a drop to me :?
  4. Mike Williams is awful.
  5. Even if St. Louis wins, I think a Packers win and a Giants loss would for the most part get us in. If we are 8-8 and we tie with another team (preferrably Carolina or Atlanta), St. Louis wouldn't make it in over us because of the tiebreaker that involves more than 2 teams. The first tiebreaker in that scenario is conference record and we would have a better conference record over all of those teams.
  6. Wilkins misses the FG!!!
  7. Ugh, Betts had a 25 yard run to the Rams 24 and then he fumbled. Rams recover with 2:01 left...
  8. Redskins get a huge stop on the Rams. Washington gets the ball at their own 37 with 2:20 left. Come on Campbell...
  9. Packers win and a Giants loss sounds even better :D If Washington loses to the Rams, we would need either a Rams loss or a Falcons win next week as well.
  10. Falcons don't get it!!!
  11. 20-7 Saints after Reggie Bush scores on a 1 yard run :D Carolina still leads Atlanta 10-3 in the 4th even though Weinke has been non-existant and the Rams have came back to tie the 'Skins at 28.
  12. Uh, why did the Giants go for it on 4th and 2 from the 50? Now the Saints have great field position with 45 seconds left and could possibly add 3 more before the end of the half.
  13. Hahaha, way to set up your receiver to get laid out, Kitna.
  14. Wow, what a risky move by Payton. Saints go for it on 4th and goal from the 2 and Brees finds Colston for the TD. 13-7 Saints with 1:51 left in the half :D Panthers up 10-3 at half and the 'Skins are up 21-14 at half as well :D
  15. NFL.com for you. I'm stuck with the meaningless Bears-Lions game.
  16. Yeah, and by the looks of the crowd I think 10 people left. That was the only thing interesting in watching this game. And it looks like most of the Lions fans have stayed too. On that punt, it looked like the stadium was still full.
  17. Carney makes a FG to make it 7-6 Giants, early in the 2nd. Carolina still leads Atlanta 7-3 and Washington just blocked a punt and two plays later, Ladell Betts runs it in for 6 to tie the Rams at 14.
  18. Make it 3/10 for Brees for 13 yards as the Saints go 3 and out again. Where is the "good" Drew Brees at?
  19. Drew Brees is sucking it up so far. 2/7, only 11 yards. Great time to pick a game to suck, Drew. A missed FG keeps the Giants lead at 7-3. Carolina leads Atlanta 7-3 and Washington leads the Rams 7-0.
  20. McCarthy was an untouchable at the deadline as the Sox wouldn't deal him to land Soriano or Andruw Jones. Now he's traded to Texas for two prospects? I know Danks is supposed to become an ace as he matures, but still. I don't really understand this deal at all.
  21. Hinrich, Nocioni, and to a lesser extent, Duhon, were the most responsible for this loss tonight. Hinrich and Noc played like absolute crap tonight. Going to lose to the Knicks. This team isn't as good as our record indicates. We still have a lot of work to do on the defensive end. Yikes: I heard from one report that one of Marty's teammates said something to Marty that got his attention and then the teammate punched him right in the face. Complete bush league crap. I have a feeling Pax won't be sending too many players to the NBDL after this incident.
  22. Reminds me of the Bulls two seasons ago. Had to claw their way into a playoff spot, and finally they were 1/2 game back of Philly, and low and behold, they were playing Philly next. They demolished them and took the 8th seed away. Let's hope it happens to the Hawks tonight. That was last season, not two year's ago. The team two year's ago had no trouble getting into the playoffs as they had the 3rd best record in the East. Actually I am referring to two years ago. When the Bulls started 0-9, they had a long way to crawl back to get into playoff contention. In Early January they stood at 14-18, while I think Philly was 15-19 or something. The Bulls killed Philly by like 30 points to improve to 15-18. The reason I made the connection is because the Bulls that season and the Hawks this season are relatively at the same points of their seasons and both started out rather bad (although the Hawks started out hot but lost a bunch in a row and fell into a hole) Ah, all right. Well last year's Bulls team was in 9th with Philly at 8th in March and they played each other two games in a row. Philly beat us at the UC by around 20 the first game, but we went into their place and won, which tied us for 8th at the time. Philly faltered down the stretch and we played our best basketball of the year and got in as the 7th seed. Your comparison makes more sense though as both the Bulls from two years ago and the Hawks now are flirting with the 8th spot much earlier in the season than the Bulls from last year.

  24. Ugh, Wichita State lost 71-68 to New Mexico to end their perfect record. They were playing without their best player in PJ Cousinard who, apparently, had stomach poisoning. Unfortunate because I really wanted SIU to be the first team to take down the Shockers for their first L on the season.
