    Smokies lose 1-0 as Jacksonville gets a run in the bottom of the 9th off of Tim Layden. Tennessee combined for four hits on the afternoon. Ouch.

    Good outing for Holliman. 6 IP, 4 hits, no runs, 7 Ks/1 BB Tennessee is scoreless in the bottom of the 7th though. The Smokies have only three hits in the game; one each by Cates, Kroeger, and Salas. Fox is 0/3 and Dope is 0/2 with two strikeouts.

    Thanks, hopefully it will still work out. We could have provided the kill shot yesterday though.....kind of disappointing we didn't although as you say it's not the end of the world. I don't want to face the Heat 1st round, but I was thinking maybe it's better to face them in the 1st round when Wade still isn't fully back than in the 2nd round, when his shoulder might be stronger. Then again, the Heat have been playing well without him and with Shaq doing his best Roger Clemens impression (taking most of the season off so he can swoop in just in time for the playoffs). Wade was just 6/12 from the line yesterday. Something is still wrong with him.

    No you're fine. It's not like you're celebrating it. Early speculation says bone spurs; out 4-6 weeks. Blake Hawksworth will be getting the start tues. And my main fantasy team takes a huge dive. Never fails with my luck.
