    Houston leads the Reds 3-1 in the bottom of the 8th. Only Reds run was a homer by Dunn :D

    Peoria wins 2-0. Dolis gets the W. Maestri and Roquet combine for 3 and 1/3 innings of shutout relief. Tennessee up 3-2 in the bottom of the 8th. Ex-Cub farmhand Carlos Vasquez has thrown 3 innings of 1 hit ball and has struck out 5 in relief against his old organization. Berg has had a real solid start...only 1 hit in 7 innings.

    Daytona loses 4-3. The D-Cubs only had 3 hits compared to St. Lucie's 12. Harvey's HR and Valdez's double and single were the only hits that they could muster. Colvin was 0/4 with a strikeout. Peoria now up 2-0 as they head to the 9th. Matt Craig hit a solo homer to put Tennessee up 3-2. Berg's line through 4: 4 innings, 1 hit, 2 runs, 1 earned, 2 K's/3 BB's.

    Yeah, I watched a half inning of it before Berman just gave me a pounding headache. There is no other announcer who is that annoying. None.

    Ryan Harvey just hit his 2nd HR of the season to cut St. Lucie's lead to 4-3. Santo was roughed up: 2.2 innings, 8 hits, 4 runs, 4 K's/3 BB's. Phelps pitched two scoreless innings and Koerber got the final out in the top half of the 5th. Mota doubled and Adduci singled, scoring Mota, to give Peoria a 1-0 lead. Dolis: 5 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 3 K's/3 BB's. Tennessee leads Birmingham 2-0 after 2. Jorge Cortes had an RBI double that scored Jake Fox and Matt Craig in the 2nd.

    He started out slow in his start against Daytona, but was real solid the last 3 or 4 innings in that start. And it sounded like he was decent today. He's doing better than Guzman is to this point.

    Driver and Jennings aren't crap, but I agree, the depth at WR is pretty bad. Hopefully Koren Robdrunk comes back somewhat early. That would definitely help our depth at WR. And our RB situation...don't even get me started on that.

    Would the Packers have enough cap room to be able to keep Moss if he hadn't restructured? That's what I heard was the biggest hangup on the deal-Moss was only willing to re-structure his deal to go to the Patriots, and nobody else had the ability to take on the contract otherwise. BTW, the Packers selected a very interesting prospect there-OT Allen Barbre. Cap room isn't a problem. We're something like 18 million under the cap. Thompson is just an absolute buffoon. I have to hand it to Moss though. He wanted to go to a team that is in contention for a Super Bowl and not another very mediocre 8-8 team. Good for him.

    difference is, hill was dominating aaa batters... the same can hardly be said for guzman. Yep, Hill absolutely dominated AAA competition in pretty much every one of his starts last year. I've said it before, but Guzman (in my mind) is going to eventually be more valuable as a reliever. But right now, we do need him as the 5th starter in the worst way possible, so seeing him struggle against AAA players is definitely concerning.

    Yep, they had awful shot selection, but the refs didn't help matters either. Oh well, hopefully Golden State closes it out against the NBA's golden boys in Oakland.
