    If Dallas loses, they won't be the first 1-seed to lose to an 8-seed. First in a seven game series though which is worse than a five game series. Yep, that's true. Counting 5 game series, I think this will be the 3rd time a 1 seed has lost to an 8.

    Only jerks think about themselves. What a selfish jerk. I think this is when Sammy Sosa says, "Who's Josh Towers?" I've noticed a lot of pitchers/managers have been saying this about Sammy this year. Tip your cap to the guy and move on. The guy is 38 and he's still hitting HR's at a pretty good rate. He's one of the best HR hitters to ever play the game. There's nothing embarassing about it.

    It would be pretty hard to top that. That being said, getting hit in the head sucks. I got hit in the head when I played a few years ago from around a 70 mph fastball. I can only imagine at how it would feel getting hit in the head at 95 mph.

    Peoria wins 6-3. Oscar Bernard picks up his first save of the season. Tennessee now down 5-0 in the top of the 9th as Schappert gave up 3 runs in the 8th on 3 hits.

    in May, too. Brewers Reds Cubs/Pirates Cards/Astros Must be bizarro world here. Just call me bizarre because I'd be watching these games even if the Cubs were in first place. :lol: My interest is a bit more intense this season however... Maybe that's because the Cubs actually have an offense this year? I wouldn't say that yet.

    Matt Avery blew the save by allowing a run in the 9th, but Daytona wins it 5-4 on a walkoff RBI single by Mark Reed which scored Ryan Harvey. Peoria up 6-3 in the 8th. Platt has given up two runs in 2 innings of relief. Tennessee down 2-0 in the 8th. Hart's final line: 7 IP, 6 hits, 2 runs, 7 K's/0 BB's. The Smokies have just three hits tonight; a double by Kroeger, and singles by Cates and Craig.

    COLVIN!!! Grand Slam just put Daytona up 4-2 in the 6th! That turned out to be Atkins' final line. Estrada pitched the 5th and 6th allowing 4 hits, 1 ER, 2 K's/0 BB's. He's in line for the win. Peoria up 6-1 in the 5th. Renshaw is throwing a gem: 5 IP, 2 hits, 1 run, 0 earned, 4 K's/0 BB's. Camp and Joseph both have doubles. Wellington Castillo and Yusuf each have 2 RBI's. Tennessee trails 1-0 after 3.

    Atkins line through 4: 5 hits, 1 ER, 5 K's/0 BB's. Daytona trails 1-0 in the 5th. The only baserunner thus far for the D-Cubs was Chirinos on a HBP.
