    Only 1 of the runs was earned. It doesn't sound like he's getting rocked, but his control has definitely been shaky. Daytona's defense always seems to take the day off when he's pitching too.

    So you don't think he's injured? The frequent dropping of the arm seems to paint a picture of someone trying to avoid hurting an already injured shoulder. While I believe he has to be hurt as well, I also think he's just developed some bad habits. It's not like he set the world on fire in the 2nd half of last year as well. But his decrease in velocity is definitely a reason to worry. He's not getting any movement on his pitches at all. There's something definitely wrong with him.

    Probably will. Lefty Cole Hamels pitching, and it's not like we have anyone on the team who can play over him against a lefty. Oh boy. I'm predicting Hamels will have a 15+ strikeout game against us.

    3 good pitchers. I definitely wouldn't call any of them HOF pitchers. I think Wood and Prior definitely had HOF potential. I don't think Zambrano was ever that good. I'll agree with Wood and Prior on potential. But even if they were healthy, they sure weren't locks.

    I agree that he's a headcase. But his stuff has just not been as effective as it usually is. Unless he aged 10 years in the offseason, there's no reason why he should be getting rocked by the likes of the Nationals and the Pirates. All of his pitches are ending up belt-high and crushable for every hitter he faces. When he's at his best, his 2-seamer is working and his slider is flat out filthy. I have yet to see any of that this year.

    It makes the pitcher's job much easier when a 3-run lead is handed to you before you even step on the mound.
