  1. I'm all for a fire sale, but if you trade all of those guys (the only one I can understand is Zambrano), then you're guaranteed of not winning anything for at least the next 10 years. Yeah, like it took the Marlins 10 years to win another World Series. And how many other teams have won with "top prospects" right out of the gate? Hate to sound like Captain Obvious, but prospects are hit and miss. The Marlins hit the jackpot with the players that they got. And if Hendry is still the GM if a fire sale were to take place (which is highly unlikely in the first place), I doubt we'd get the best prospects available anyway.

  3. I never thought it was possible to be shut out when the wind is blowing it with a power-heavy lineup.
  4. Peoria loses 12-7. Nice game for Lansford who went 4/5 with an RBI. Peoria did score 5 runs in the 9th to make the score look closer than what it really was. Tennessee lost 7-0. Holliman: 5 IP, 7 hits, 3 runs, 2 K's/3 BB's. Mendez gave up 4 runs in 2 and 1/3. The Smokies only had five hits. Spearman had two, including a triple. Chris Robinson had two and McGehee had one. Fox was 0/4 with a strikeout. Iowa up 6-1 in the 5th. Fontenot is 2/3 with a double and an RBI. Felix is 2/3 with a run scored. EPatt is 0/4 and Cedeno is 0/3 so far. O'Malley's line through 4: 3 hits, 1 ER, 3 K's/0 BB's, 1 HR given up.
  5. I wonder if ESPN is going to mention this. Probably as a "definining moment" as to how the Yankees get back to .500.
  6. Go Braves! Yeah, might as well just root for whoever's playing the Cubs. If we're going to be bad, let's lose every game.
  7. I love how DeRosa just sat there after being intentionally plunked. And Lou was just sitting on his ass in the dugout probably picking his nose. Gotta love the fire that we have on this team.
  8. Just like last year, no one is going to care from June through the rest of the season.
  9. A Cubs pitcher that has control problems? Why I'd never...
  10. I expect two quick, easy 1-2-3 innings for the Cubs. And here goes Brenly once again with the stupid excuses.
  11. Poor overall talent + lack of baseball instincts + complete player apathy = 2007 Chicago Cubs 22-29? Overachievers! why do you even watch? Can't watch a better comedy than the Cubs.
  12. I like a nice blowout, but I also like the crazy finishes. The WP's, HBP's, bases-loaded walk, etc. That gets my vote.
  13. Please get that sign on-air. maybe if the timing is just right i'll flip to to also reveal "chip sucks" Hahahaha.
  14. Seeing how all the higher-ups are in attendance, how about throwing stuff at the booth they are in? That would be nice.
  15. Too bad these losers don't want to turn the season around.
  16. How the hell did that get out? The one day we don't hit flyballs. Figures.
  17. Looking like we'll be 2-7 in the last two years against the Marlins. Money sure buys wins
  18. They're just trying to keep their ratings up. Anytime they stop saying that would be fine with me.
  19. What occured? Mitre got down the sac bunt. Lilly picked it up and looked at 2nd to see if he could make the play there. When he saw that he couldn't, he dropped the ball, picked it up and on his knees, tried to throw it to 1st. The ball hit Mitre and trickled into shallow RF.
