  1. Ramirez with an RBI single!! And hahahahaha, the Giants are BAD. 3-0 Cubs :D
  2. It's true! Cubs.com I couldn't have asked for much better (realistic) news when I woke up today. Although I must ask...WHY THE HELL DID THEY BRING UP ANOTHER DAMN CATCHER WHEN THEY JUST SENT ONE DOWN!?!?!? He's not a full-time catcher anymore.
  3. Already 1-0 Brewers. What a joke :x
  4. Yeah, but that guy who reported the trade said that Gwynn would be in the lineup anyway.
  5. If the prospect is Gallardo, it makes the deal look a lot better. But wouldn't Gallardo be the centerpiece in the package that the Reds would get back? Usually when trades say, "and a prospect," it usually means that it's just a fill-in to the deal. It's way overdue for Krivsky to make a terrible deal with us.
  6. Don't forget Corey Hart, who all of a sudden has become amazing. Also Bill Hall isn't going to be hurt forever. I really hope that this isn't true.
  7. You are somehow wrong on both sides. Dunn is about a billion times more valuable than you're giving him credit for. Murton, EPatt, Wuertz >> Weeks, Gwynn, Wise. And if we were able to get him for an equivalency of Weeks, Gwynn, Wise(think EPatt, Pagan, Petrick) we should fall over ourselves to do it. You overrate you're own prospects. I wouldn't deal Weeks by himself for those 3 guys. You're overrating Weeks by quite a bit. No I'm not. Pagan is a 5th outfielder. Weurtz is a nice little MR who basically washes with Wise. Patterson is another little MIF who will probably never be more then a reserve. Weeks, on the other hand, has big upside with a quick bat. He has some pop, and he can steal bases. He had a good year last year and is goin through some growing pains this year. He has the upside to be an all-star, meanwhile the 3 guys you mentioned have the upside of a 5th outfielder, a MR, and a utility infielder. Weeks, Wise, and Gwynn and Wuertz, Patterson, and Pagan aren't even comparable. You overrate your own guys, as many fans do. I have to disagree with you on Patterson. There's no doubt that he can become a very solid and dependable starting 2B in the very near future. There's no way that his peak will be a reserve middle IF.

If that's all we need to give up to get Dunn, I'd be shocked and ecstatic.
  9. Freel=bad Hamilton=hurt Besides, Hamilton is more of a COF anyways. Well, if Guzman ever gets healthy, a deal of EPatt, Guzman, and Cedeno would be just as good as that Brewers deal. Guzman is hurt, and Cedeno is a AAAA player. That's why I said if he ever does get healthy. And the jury is still out on Cedeno...it's not like he's really old or anything. I'm not advocating that deal. All I'm doing is trying to come up with a better trade offer than that "proposal" that the Brewers made. You're seriously telling me you'd rather have Matt Wise over Angel Guzman? Angel Guzman is hurt. Weeks by himself is better then Cedeno and Patterson combined. Are you completely blind? What part of "IF" do you not understand? I said "IF Guzman gets healthy." That being said, I doubt he will be healthy by July 31. And how can you say that statement when no one has even seen Patterson play a lick of ball in the majors? It's not like Weeks is setting the world on fire this year either.

  12. Haven't we beat you 4 of 6? Didn't Kyle Loshe throw 8 shutout innings and K you 12 times? And where are the Reds now? Getting swept at home by a team that's 15 under .500 is pretty pathetic.
  13. :-s 3+ innings of relief to end the game is a save, no matter the lead. Isn't up to scorekeeper's discretion? 3+ innings means you can get a save without the same rules as most saves, but it doesn't guarantee a save, right? If you come into a 12-8 game in the 6th and finish the game and it's still 12-8, you will get a save. But a 9-0 lead may or may not give you a save. If you pitch 4 innings after the starter, you will earn the save.
