  1. And right on cue, Graffanino hits a HR.
  2. Boy, this Reds interim manager is really a ditz. He leaves Livingston in to hit for himself (which he got a single out of), but then he goes to the bullpen to start the 7th inning.
  3. Hart lines out to Livingston on 3 pitches to end the inning.
  4. Thanks for some nice 1 pitch outs, Hall and Mench. Greatly appreciated.
  5. It has become way too predictable.
  6. What an AB by Dunn as he fights back from a 1-2 count to draw the walk. Bases juiced with only 1 out.
  7. I wouldn't call the D'Backs crappy considering they just took 2 of 3 from us at home.
  8. you're a girl :?:  What?
  9. Great outing for Lilly if he's indeed done after 7.
  10. how many catchers in MLB are considered an actual offensive threat? Pudge? Victor Martinez Jorge Posada Russell Martin Joe Mauer Brian McCann Kenji Johjima (to some extent now) Pudge But most teams have catchers who aren't a complete black hole on offense. i'll give you Mauer, but none of the others are offensive threats imho... Sori for 3! Hmmm. What constitutes an offensive threat in your book? apparently not a catcher with a .933 OPS. Shouldn't Barrett be on that list? Have you seen his numbers this year?
  11. Fontenot drives in Floyd and it's now a 6-1 lead.
  12. Cliff Floyd with a 2 out double that scores two more!
  13. Miller is getting torched in the completion of the suspended game for Tennessee: 2 IP, 6 hits, 7 runs, 3 K's/2 BB's, 1 HR allowed. Tennessee trails 8-2 in the bottom of the 5th. Meanwhile, Mitch Atkins has another extremely good start in Daytona's nightcap: 6 IP, 5 hits, 2 runs, 0 ER, 0 K's/0 BB's. Daytona won 6-2. Kyle Reynolds hit his 12th HR of the year and Yusuf hit a 2-run shot.
  14. You know it's not good when the best AB of the inning was by Lilly.
  15. Keppinger with a bases clearing triple to make it 4-0 Reds!
  16. This is a bunch of anecdotal crap. If you look at Vazquez's stats that go along with these wild accusations you're throwing around, you'll see that his pitches per inning pitched is pretty much dead average among starters, and his "after 0-2" stats and later pitches/later innings statistics are among the best in the AL. Not really sure how calling a post a "bunch of anecdotal crap" can make it through here but oh well. Look at his stats the last three years. ERA's of 4.91, 4.42, 4.84. ERA+'s of 92, 99, and 96. He has always had a problem of the one bad inning. You're telling me that it's a bunch of anecdotal crap that this latest stretch isn't an aberration? He's a very average pitcher; nothing more and nothing less. You're going to have to do better to convince me otherwise besides saying that my post is a bunch of anecdotal crap. ERA alone isn't going to do a whole lot to prove the point. Look at his K and BB numbers, he's well above average. His K/BB ratio is good, there's no denying that. I've just never been a big fan of his. He's one of those pitchers that has tremendous potential but hasn't really lived up to it. Ask Yankees, D'Backs, and White Sox fans what they think of Vazquez and they'll all say the same thing. There are more pressing needs that we need to address than starting pitching.
  17. Good start for Daytona in the first game of the twinbill. Dope homered (!) and the D-Cubs scored 4 in the bottom of the 1st to lead Palm Beach 5-0 in the bottom of the 3rd. Yusuf drove in two on an RBI double and Clevenger has the other RBI.
