  1. There's a big difference though. The Brewers have a good offense. Yep, very true. That's exactly why Hendry can't stand pat. He has to make a move to bring in another OF here.
  2. It really is annoying how Cy Blooper can shut us down but then every other pitcher that the Cardinals trot out there gets hammered by the Brewers. No one to blame but ourselves, I guess. We're definitely going to need to win tonight because I don't see the Cardinals winning one game in this series.
  3. And that little piece of crap hits his 18th HR of the year :x 1-0 Brewers.
  4. Wood will be starting the game for Peoria tonight.
  5. Barrett really isn't doing that great either. A whole .263/.263/.338 line in 80 AB's with the Padres. Not to mention that he has three more passed balls with the Padres. We have the answer at catcher in our system. Hendry is just being too stubborn and foolish as usual regarding that.
  6. When you've got GMs like Hendry and Krivskey involved, it might. Our GM just said last week that he'd look to see how the offense does the upcoming week to see if we need to add a bat or not. I wouldn't put it past Hendry to bring up Murton to showcase him for a couple days. Perhaps I should start a don't trade Murt to the Reds campaign. If it's for Griffey then your campaign would be foolish. Fixed, Dunn K's way too much and has godawful defense for a .300 hitter which Murton is anyway. Last I heard Murt's defense is growing strong. He walks a ton and he hits a lot of bombs. He fills a weakness that we have in the OF. And his offensive production does make up for his shoddy defense in LF.
  7. Now let's get Dye for as cheap as that.
  8. http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-2/118551043316250.xml&coll=1 I can see the logic behind it in terms of getting the younger players playing time, but he does have 15 HR's and 70 RBI's. He has also mauled left-handed pitching this year. I'm sure they can get something in return for him. If he is coming this cheap, Hendry has to make a move for him.
  9. im going to bed now, but it's not because you told me to it's because im going to j/o to your sig/av A little OT Whoa, a Chris sighting
  10. One of them is understandable, but two? I have a hard time believing that this guy is telling the truth.
  11. DeRosa won't be traded. He's as close to as untouchable as he'll ever be. And I wouldn't really make a deal with a team that is only a few games behind us in the wild card race unless we come out of it like bandits.
  12. I could not care less about that guy on BCB. I don't trust that rumor at all. What I'm interested in is the fact that both Pie and Kroeger were pulled very early in the Iowa game.
  13. Well, that was far from enlightening. But, good try and maybe they''ll have someone check on it. Yeah, at least I got Levine to at least look at it. I wasn't really expecting much more, to be honest with you. And yes, Chet really needs to shut up. I was on hold for 30 freaking minutes and they only took two calls before me.
  14. Well I'm asking Levine...first on after the 10:20 update. I doubt he'll have a clue though.
  15. Levine is on ESPN 1000, so I'm going to call up and ask him if he has heard anything.
  16. DeRosa is supposed to play tomorrow. Petrick won't be sent down because we need 12 pitchers. Fox being sent down is the most logical thing. And then of course, there can always be a trade.
  17. Iowa is playing in Colorado, so perhaps they just want to get Felix to Cincy as soon as possible. I really have no idea...either way, let the rumors/fun begin.
  18. Hmm, he was PH for in the 4th inning. Is it ok to be hopeful that he's being called up?
  19. Cub fans assume the worst? Seems pretty obvious it's conceding defeat. 6-1 with Looper on the mound is not out of reach. Petrick put it out of reach. With the way our offense was "performing," it sure seemed like it was out of reach.
  20. 12 pitches and 9 strikes for Wood. 1 IP, 1 hit, 2 K's/0 BB's :D
  21. Why is everyone assuming that ARam is out?
  22. That sounds like an evil strategy. Anyone know whats up with A-Ram? He was just taken out as part of a double switch. I highly doubt it's anything injury related. He was the last batter to hit in the 6th, so it made sense to take him out and to just throw Petrick for the next couple of innings.
  23. Tennessee wins the nightcap 3-0. Good start for O'Malley: 6 IP, 3 hits, 0 runs, 4 K's/0 BB's. Henderson got the save with a scoreless 7th. Robinson Chirinos hit his 1st HR with Tennessee, a 2-run shot and Fuld had the other RBI. Colvin was 1/3 with a K.
