  1. Risky move by Ramirez, but it pays off as he advances to 3rd on the groundout by Fukudome.
  2. No damage done after the two out walk and single.
  3. Wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last time.
  4. Screw that. Go Brewers.
  5. Avery's a little younger, he's had much more success as a coach than Skiles has ever had, and he's played with two of the best big men to ever play the game. The players would respect him, there's no doubt in my mind.
  6. Nice to see Hart have a good outing. Same can't be said for Pignatiello: 1 IP, 3 hits, 1 run, 1 K/3 BB's. His ERA is over 10. What the heck has happened to him? Cotts had a good outing: 2 1/3 IP, 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 K/1 BB. The Redhead went 2/5 with two RBI's and a run scored.
  7. Why? Don't let all of those Thibodeauxnt posters on RealGM persuade you that Johnson is a bad coach.
  8. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3386183 I highly doubt the Bulls will come close to matching $6 million a year for a coach. In fact, take it to the bank. There's no chance the Bulls offer him more than $6 million. So it's going to come down to D'Antoni taking the money from the Knicks or the better fit for his coaching career. I'd be highly surprised if he chose the latter. Bring on Avery.
  9. Carlos Gomez just hit for the cycle. And he did it in reverse order too: HR, triple, double, single.
  10. Still 2.5 out.
  11. Pujols hits it right on the screws, but fortunately he hit it right to Barmes. One more.
  12. Yeah, I'm sure Rich Hill couldn't have done worse than this. Or Gallagher. Or Marshall. You know you suck when Bako and Hairston are going yard off of you.
  13. I find it funny that Hairston can play SS now under Dusty, but Dusty would never try him there when he was with us.
  14. Like someone mentioned in the game thread; it's amazing how he couldn't throw strikes when he was a pitcher, but he can throw strikes with ease from the outfield. Yeah, that sure makes sense.
  15. I have a final at 12:50. Ugh. If we could hit Volquez, I'd be very happy. Do this, Cubs.
  16. They're over the cap, but they seem content on paying the Luxury Tax for years and years and years. Therefore, it doesn't really matter if they're over the cap or not. According to a poster on RealGM, the sports guy on NBC 5 in the afternoon said that the Bulls were prepared to interview Avery Johnson in the coming days. It keeps them from adding free agents seeking more than the MLE, doesn't it? I always thought that as long as they paid the luxury tax, they could still do whatever they wanted. They do most of their acquisitions through trades anyway, so maybe that's where the luxury tax thing comes in.

  18. Nice bounceback game for Kerry in his first save situation since the Brewers game. Very nice game all-around.
  19. Barton makes it 3-0 Cardinals. All of this is coming with two outs to Looper, Izturis, and Barton. Typical.
  20. Cards take a 2-0 lead after Izturis hits a ball that took a funny hop by Barmes and went into LF. And Izzy also has a 7 game hitting streak now. Only the Cardinals.
