    There's no source on that deal. No way it's real. Rumorpress has never been right about anything ever. You're probably thinking of HoopsWorld. If this rumor has some legs to it, we better make that deal. Not only do you shed Deng's terrible contract, but you free up a ton of money for 2010. Get it done.

    Huet and Niemi. Maybe Huet and Crawford. With the cap what it is, they don't have any choice. Re-sign Khabi. No. Huet can be the #1 goalie on this team, and I'm pretty confident saying that. I think Sunday's game was more of a cause of rust than anything else. He was absolutely sensational tonight. Great season, although I have to admit I'm real frustrated that there's no more hockey for us. I'm more concerned about our defensive situation than our goaltending situation and I hope that gets addressed. I'd be willing to let Havlat go if it means we were able to land a stud defenseman.

    That's what teams do when they're not very good. I was at a friend's and was watching the Nuggets-Lakers game with more attention, but did Lou really leave Ascanio in to hit for himself and then immediately went to Cotts the next inning? Great managing there. Brenly thought that Z was supposed to be pinch-hitting for Ascanio there, but wasn't ready for some reason. That's still terrible, but thanks for clearing that up.

    Q was awful. It's easy to blame Huet, and rightfully so. But that effort the first 19 minutes of the game was a complete joke. For the biggest game of the year to try to even up a series at two games and you come out looking like the timid team at home is unacceptable. The stats were even before that soft goal he let in at the end of the first, but the Hawks were being outworked at almost all costs by the Wings. I don't know what we're going to do for our goalie situation next year but we're in a bad situation.

    They add Eric Gordon and I am done with them. Why? He's basically Ben from 4 years ago: Gordon's rookie stat line Don't get me wrong - I'd prefer to replace Ben Gordon with Chris Bosh and start Salmons at SG, but I don't know how realistic that is. I can't stand him. No basketball reason really. I don't get why a lot of Illinois fans still can't stand him. Thanks to him, he hurt Indiana's program much more than he could have helped the Illini for one year.

    Peavy goes 8 allowing 1 run on 4 hits in just 88 pitches. Padres decide to use a PH for him in the bottom of the 8th and the Cubs break a 1-1 tie in the top of the 9th to win it 2-1. Whatever gets us a win at this point. I can't wait until Aramis comes back.

    It'd be nice to see us swoop in and make a deal, but we all know that's a gigantic pipe dream.

    He looked quite a few steps slower on the ice when he came back after being hurt. Not good. I think Pahlsson's been as good as I could have expected. I wouldn't mind bringing him back to anchor the 3rd line next year.

    I'll put it at 5% that we re-sign Khabibulin and 55% that we re-sign Havlat.

    Bavetta, Crawford, Javie, et. al. will be strategically deployed to make sure that doesn't happen. Agreed. It'd be nice to think about though.

    Even after that dud of a third period, I'm still not worried about this series. We played two and a half terrible periods against Vancouver in Game 1 of that series before we took control for the better part of that series. I'm looking for a much more physical and active attack from the Hawks in Game 2. We'll be fine.

    When the alternative is Aaron Miles, I'd take Bobby Scales every time. I don't think anyone believes Scales is going to come close to keeping this up, but it's definitely not unrealistic to expect him to outproduce Miles. I hope he gets a good chunk of the starts at 3rd until Aramis is back.

    I would think him playing in Minnesota makes the Bears chances of winning the division better. The Packers too. You're a Packer fan, right Flames? Are you one of the "Temporary Jets fans" guys, or one of the "I removed all the pictures of Favre from my walls" guys? Well, Favre was basically the whole reason why I became a Packers fan. I couldn't hate the guy even after the stunt he pulled last year, but now it's just getting ridiculous. I have to admit at the end of last year, I was rooting for him to fail because I was tired of people hinging the blame on Rodgers for why the Packers were 6-10 when Rodgers was having a much better year than Favre could ever imagine of having. I can't stand the guy now because it's apparent this guy only cares about himself and the grudge he holds against Thompson. I'd love for the Vikes to sign him.

    Got all 122 pro teams with 1:49 to spare. The Spurs were my last NBA team and that took me a while to figure out. Sabres and Oilers were the last two teams for me to get in general.

    I knew it was ridiculous to call up Fox. The guy's done. The sooner Lou and Hendry realize this, the better. Another win though with Soriano having another great game. Pretty good day.
