  1. I'm sure all of that went into it, but I don't think it "boils down" to those factors. It wasn't just that they were motivated and we were overconfident. There were clear talent, scheme, and coaching exposures that were blatantly on display last night. 100% agree with this.
  2. Did Cutler literally quit?
  3. He wasn't really. Just saying he needs to throw the ball when his back foot hits at the end of his drop. Intentional grounding would at least look better in the stat sheet.
  4. Bears offense, agreed. D looked good. Giants have dropped like 3 first down passes. They also have called crappy plays. But I will give the D some credit.
  5. Hey, Martz. How about some sub 40 yard pass routes?
  6. I always feel bad for the kickers because they're the one position that actually gets cut based on one bad half of football. Dodge was bad all preseason. He's been bad all season. If he gets cut, it will be for more than just the 1st half today.
  7. Seriously. The fumbles show that the ball isn't glued to his friggin hand. Why won't he throw it?
  8. Apparently if you wear the #6 today, you suck. Dodge seriously is the worst punter I have ever seen.
  9. Cutler is playing Grossman dumb right now. Throw the damn ball!
  10. Feeling the same way. 2 very emotional wins the last 2. 3 really when you think about Week 1 being the opener and a dramatic finish. This definitely could be a letdown game, especially on a short week. That being said, the Giants are not a good team. The Bears should win this game, they are the better team. But I have a feeling they won't.
  11. My biggest concern is replacing Noah. The Bulls were a great rebounding team w/ Noah, Gibson, Miller, and Tyrus last year. Boozer this year makes them easily the best rebounding team in the league w/ Noah and Gibson. I think Boozer and Gibson and Kurt Thomas (Asik too if he can contribute) could still hold their own on the boards. But I'd really be worried about the interior defense and athletic ability that Noah brings up front. That's why I included Andersen in the deal. If the Bulls can at least replace that athleticism, I'd do this deal instantly. By the way, while a lineup of Rose, Brewer, Melo, Boozer, and Gibson would be undersized and have trouble w/ Dwight Howard and maybe Garnett and Shaq if healthy, I think that team matches up well w/ what Miami will have on the floor most of the time. I think that 5 down the stretch matches up well vs. Wade, Miller, LBJ, Bosh, and Haslem who are likely going to play the most minutes together for the Heat....at least as well as could be expected.
  12. You clearly didn't see many Hester games at the U did you? He was Deion Sanders like in his willingness to stick his nose in to make a tackle.
  13. Did I hear Chris Harris out too?
  14. Because Hester is afraid to get hit. A guy who stands still watching the ball in the air come to him as 10 guys (minus the punter) are running toward him at full speed is afraid to get hit? Even if that is true, why does Hester being afraid to get hit mean Aromashodu doesn't play? Wasn't the issue with Aromashodu that he had some drops in the slot after taking a couple hits in the middle?
  15. Ok, Aromashodu isn't great in the slot. Not many 6'2" WRs are. But what happened to Hester learning all the positions? And the Az Hakim comparisons? Why can't Aromashodu play outside w/ Hester in the slot?
  16. I'm the same way with Rice in one league, Shonn Greene in a couple and Calvin and Larry Fitzgerald in just about all of mine. My early round picks have really sucked this year. My big $ league I have Calvin, Fitz and Rice. Then I have Moreno and Garcon who both missed last week.
  17. Cubs have a top 5 pitching and hitting coach, IMO. Too bad they don't have better players for them to work with.
  18. Lovie and crew are in job saving mode. They don't care about the long-term effects of today's moves on the team. I think a couple years ago you would not have seen the team's leading WR benched the next 2 games, the former pro-bowl DT inactivated without being injured, or the team's INT leader on the sidelines for missing a tackle. Refreshing and long overdue. So you're saying it took real job pressure for them to start........doing their jobs. Yeah, basically.

  20. Same bench the Bulls have now with Andersen instead of Gibson. No Center. And still not as good as the Heat. Johnson was included in the trade because he's not getting any PT behind Melo anyway.
  21. What has Accuscore said for the last 3 games?
  22. i know it's cool to hate on simmons, but when it comes to basketball he knows what he's talking about, and he actually does get good info. hopefully the bulls stand pat, because that's way too much to give up for melo imo I'd seriously think about it. As much as I hate him, I wonder if Denver would throw in Chris Andersen for that package. Andersen is not an offensive threat or a great defender, but he is a good shot blocker, runs the floor, etc. I'd rather have Kenyon Martin or Nene, but the Bulls can't afford them. I'd even throw in James Johnson. Noah, Deng, Johnson, 2011 #1 pick, 2013 #1 pick. for Melo and Andersen. Rose Brewer Melo Boozer Gibson w/ Korver, Andersen, Kurt Thomas, and Bogans coming off the bench would be slightly better than the current roster to me.
  23. What do you guys think about trading Ray Rice? If I could get a decent RB and a decent WR for him....would you do it? I'm in a PPR league so, I could probably get an undervalued pass catcher like Reggie Bush, Hightower, or Jamal Charles and a decent WR like Colston or Crabtree. Thoughts?
  24. Any free agents out there to be had maybe? We have blind bidding (up to $100 to spend for year). I put $51 down on Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis. Yeah, I'm pretty desperate.
