  1. Oh, bull! You have to be an insider to view ESPN's predictions?! What a load of crap!
  2. Come on, ESPN! What are you waiting for?
  3. It's not going to happen. Everyone wants to be the one who got that prediction right.
  4. Meh. As long as he catches the ball, he can do a backflip while catching it for all I care.
  5. Everyone on CBS Sports is picking the Cubs to win the division, with all but one of them picking them to win it all. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/story/11578622 Oh, and ESPN should be releasing their NL predictions today. Watch this link. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/preview09/index
  6. It's typical to have a shorter than normal outing in your last start of Spring Training. They were planning on taking him out early all along. Nothing to worry about.
  7. How about NO blackouts? I am so sick of getting screwed out of being able to watch the vast majority of Cubs game because I am in the Cubs' market, yet I DON'T get CSN. This stupidity has got to end!
  8. I'm really upset that WGN isn't carrying Opening Day.
  9. Really? I watched the early parts of this game on MLBN, and Demp looked very shaky to me. He had a rough first inning, but he settled down and only gave up 1 run in his final 5 innings.
  10. Blind starting pitcher, eh?
  11. Yeah. He actually said, "I'll have speaks with the umpire." That game had everything a Cub fan could possibly ask for, and beyond. It's certainly in my top 3 favorite games. Nothing will ever eclipse the 20 strikeout game, though. My favorite game hasn't happened yet. It's the game where the Cubs win the World Series. I was only 9 when Wood pitched his 20 strikeout game, and I wasn't too into baseball then. I didn't really get into it until 2003.
  12. And all 4 wins come against the Cubs, right?
  13. Yeah. He actually said, "I'll have speaks with the umpire."
  14. Sounds like he's OK now. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090325&content_id=4066270&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  15. More like 2 horrific seasons. 2005 wasn't horrific If it wasn't for Lee, it would have been.
  16. Sounds like Lee got all of that ball and then some!
  17. What really irks me is that they're not losing anything in ad revenue on people like me, because I don't even GET CSN. I can't watch the game on MLB.tv or EI because the game is being shown on a channel I DON'T get? How does that work? MLB's blackout rules have got to go. How does Selig not realize that blackout rules don't make any sense?
  18. Because not letting you watch the game on TV means you will definitely drive hundreds of miles, buy a ticket, and watch the game in person.
  19. Any word on who will be starting in Harden's place?
  20. While this concern is certainly legitimate, especially if his swing still has a huge hole in it, I'd like to give him more than 17 sporadic at-bats before casting judgment. Perhaps he's just rusty like a lot of players at this stage of spring training. We're 24 days into the Cactus League season. Isn't that enough time to shake off most of the rust?
