  1. Please. I never, ever want to hear those 3 words in that order again. Neifi is fine as a bench player, but as a starter... ](*,)
  2. It's finally been confirmed. This better mean bye-bye Macias. Although that last sentence worries me a little.
  3. if he had power, he'd be a better hitter. I know, but please give me a list of all the leadoff hitters with good power. (20+ HRs)
  4. I have one question. Who the heck gives a crap about a leadoff hitter's power? A leadoff hitter is supposed to get on base for the guys with power. Pierre having almost no power is not a valid complaint.
  5. Put Cedeno at SS and keep Walker at 2B. Find someone to play CF and RF and our problems are solved. It's that simple, Jim.
  6. The first source was the Boston Globe, now the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has their own story.
  7. Because they're desperate for a shortstop and all their good free agents are leaving? (Furcal, Farns) Yeah, but Lugo would be much cheaper, plus they have Betemit and a whole cast of others in house who could play SS for less than a tenth of the cost of Renteria. Let's just quit trying to figure out the master plan of all the GMs this offseason. It's quite obvious none of them have one.

  9. Never under-estimate the stupidity of Hendry and Colleti!
  10. I hadn't heard of him either, but he appears to be a pretty good prospect. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/B/jonathan-broxton.shtml
  11. Who plays second and short for the Cubs? Cedeno and Perez?
  12. On page 2. http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/9078640
  13. Those 4 wins a year against the Cubs will probably help. Only 4? Oh, that's right. He'll get paired up against Zambrano once and they'll both get no-decisions as the Cards win 1-0 in the 10th.
  14. Don't trade him, Jim. Please don't. apparently when you don't get who you want to lead off, instead of risk being made look like an idiot when the in house option does better, you trade him... That makes sense, yet it doesn't. HMMMMMM. What we have here is a paradox. :-k
  15. You were probably all too stunned by the Neifi comment to go any further and see this little tidbit. Don't trade him, Jim. Please don't.
  16. My guess is those teams are only interested in him so they can say he hit his 600th homer with them.
  17. Hello 20-win and 2.50ish ERA season. ](*,)
  18. Go, Murton. Go, Murton. Go, Murton. Go. I like Murton better and better every single day. :D
