  1. False dilemma. He could do both, you know. But we're only up by two, right? There's this thing called the bottom of the 9th.
  2. They don't really have any room to talk since they've NEVER won the WS. Can anyone actually prove the Cubs have ever won a world series? I mean...there is probably nobody alive that remembers it, and I know they didn't have video back then. :? A new born infant at the time(1908) would now be 98 years old. So someone living who is 105 years old now(7 years old at the time) might faintly remember. The key is finding someone 105 or older.  I saw a news article about some woman that, I think, lives in Washington who's 108 years old.
  3. Novoa's pathetic 5.19 ERA is better than it should be. I just noticed that none of the runs he gave up against the Mets were earned. He gave up a home run. Shouldn't that be earned?
  4. What the heck? Gameday just changed pitch 1 or 2 from a ball to a called strike?
  5. The hit and run is the stupidest play in all of baseball.
  6. That picture doesn't help me. Now I know what he looks like, but what does someone saying Barrett is smoking hot have to do with him?
  7. Is that you, J.E.? Come on, guys. I thought that was funny. Maybe I'm too immature. :( Who's J.E.?
  8. They don't really have any room to talk since they've NEVER won the WS.
  9. 110 pitches for Marmol. Nice job to work out of your jams. Now, take a seat and let Novoa blow this game for you.
  10. Wow. That high?
  11. St. Louis' pitching seems to go in some pretty awful spurts. The Padres didn't hold the Braves down in the first three games of the stretch either. Yeah that's true, but I also remember the same Cardinals staff giving up something like 20 and 14 runs in back-to-back games against the Sox a few weeks ago. Mulder was hurt. At least he has an excuse.
  12. Assuming you needed pitching help, I'd say that's a fairly good trade. Bonds isn't doing as horribly as I thought he was. His average is at .246. Almost in the acceptable range.
  13. Just trade Walker already. He deserves more playing time than what he's got here.
  14. What happened? My team was in first and doing fine, then it decided to take a break the last couple of weeks.
  15. I say we just push his turn back until he is able to start a thread. Go for it Vance!
  16. Jhonny has finally remembered how to hit. His average is up to .256 and he has a 7-game hitting streak.
  17. Harvey is now 8 for his last 18. 4 of those 8 hits have been homers.
  18. How the heck do you pronounce Vancouver's starter's name?
  19. He's good. That's what they have against him.
  20. Does anyone else on this team care? From Cubs.com:
