Despite what they're saying, I don't think it was solely performance related. The guy was hitting 3rd in the lineup yesterday and got yanked in the 8th with the tying runs on base for a PH. That's a little odd to me. He was 0-3 with 2 Ks. The only odd part was batting him 3rd. Leyland bats Neifi in the leadoff spot - I wouldn't be suprised at any lineup he might write out.

17 pitch inning - just a little better than the league average I believe. 5.4 P/PA-I believe that crushes the league average. We were very patient that inning-when the hits come, we'll be able to push Duke out of the game early if that can somehow even come close to continuing. You are correct sir!How about that - NL average about 3.75 P/PA. Cubs at about 3.68.

Sanchez signles to right. Jones threw it over the backstop. Wow. I know, your wondering how it managed to go over the backstop on the 36th bounce just like I am. Perhaps it burrowed its way under the backstop? That ball gophers (or was it snakes) out there dude............... ground ball to third, the 3B made a great dive, but couldn't make the throw (Hesitated, looked like he thought about second. Cedeno is done. Send him back to AAA and try someone else for a while. For 5 games? 5 games? It's been more then 5 games... Including tonight, Iowa has 6 games left. That would be the Antonio Alfonseca handfull of games :)
