Not a bad list, but I would think that Hoffman's saves will set the bar making it tough for Wagner to get in unless he extends his career for several more years. Also, the offense at SS these days will make it tough for Vizquel, IMO. What about Percival? I assume probably the same thing with him as his save total is a few lower then Wagner's right now but he seems to be comparable. I know he has been injured lately but if he has a few good years left in him he could make a run at it.

Suprises me the Giants haven't made an effort to pick up Julio Franco. Anybody know where he is playing this year? I can look it up but I am being extremely lazy tonight.

WAIT! STOP THE PRESSES! Are you trying to tell me that a Roberts to Cubs deal is close?? Yep. There is a 50/50 chance that a Roberts deal might be done by this time next year. :D

I just don't get why we would trade our top position prospect and one of our top (if not the top) pitching prospect for Roberts. He is good, but he is not that much of an upgrade over DeRosa that we should give away two young, cheap prospects who could be very good for us. I don't mind getting Roberts, but I don't like Pie being involved at all and if we have to give them Gallagher then we shouldn't have to give them too much else. i may be overrating our players (I am sure I am) but I really don't believe we need Roberts enough to give up these players. (It's a Monday and I needed to rant)

Yes, its official, Sabean is the worst GM in the history of baseball. I haven't looked at any stats but wouldn't Cain pretty much be the number 2 if not 1 in Chicago (depending on which Buerhle shows up)? I don't see back of the rotation with the pitchers they have. I could be wrong though..

Trading away Marquis might be the best part of any Roberts deal if it happened. marquis was pretty lucky last year. if we could somehow pawn him off on someone who actually thinks he has value, please for the love of God get rid of him. His ERA was under 5 last season. The Orioles don't have many guys like that. yeah unfortunately for them, marquis' era won't be below 5 this year. Shhh, don't tell them that. With Marquis salary being what it is, do you think we would be taking back Payton or someone as well?

Just thought I would throw this out there. Looking at the orioles board there are some posters on there who believe Bedard has better "stuff" then Z and therefore would be our number 1 if he were to come here. I dont get into all the stats, so I figured I would post this question to see what you those who are a bit more informed might say. I like Zambrano and his "stuff" better. Just my opinion though.

I haven't actually been to their site, so pardon my stupidity. But, if these "Insider's" were purposely duping Cub fans visiting the site, wouldn't they also be duping their own fellow fans and tearing down any future credibility among those fellow fans? I've been reading their site for a while now. The insiders only give what they have heard from their "sources". It's not to say they can't be wrong or that things don't change from one minute to the next. They have been right with most of the stuff I have looked at over there. Most of the posters not only trust them but defend them so I don't think they would be pulling chains. Just my opinion.
