  1. WGN seems to show less and less Cubs games each year, and that's probably the only thing keeping them alive as a network. Quite sad.
  2. don't fix what aint broke - same lineup EDIT: Ramirez is 4th, Byrd 5 today
  3. Yeah, but I don't think he'll be an All Star this year. I think he'll be overrated by the fans and get voted in when he doesn't really deserve it.
  4. But its gonna be different this time. Now why cant I find the little flying pig smiley? http://www.northsidebaseball.com/forum/post/smilies?f=26&start=50
  5. cmon guys, that's clearly not Soriano LOL the Pirates guy is Jeff Clement I think but the Cubs guy is an actor.
  6. National League: SS Ramirez 2B Prado 1B Pujols DH Howard 3B Wright LF Braun CF Ethier RF Hart C Molina American League: RF Ichiro SS Jeter 1B Cabrera CF Hamilton DH Guerrero 3B Longoria C Mauer 2B Cano LF Crawford The NL will probably get an early lead, and blow it in the late innings as usual. Go Byrd.
  7. I DESPISE the guy, but he's got the most energy and whatnot so I think he'll win.
  8. yes, there aren't a ton of perennial HR hitters, yes, Chris Berman sucks, but yes, most of us will watch anyway Miguel Cabrera David Ortiz Nick Swisher Vernon Wells Corey Hart Matt Holliday Hanley Ramirez Chris Young Go Papi, I'll take Swisher to win.
  9. The NHL skills competition has become a joke as well these days.
  10. out from the naked eye AGAIN and these pieces of [expletive] have jobs?! as does Lou who should have lost his mind there screw everyone on the field
  11. cut to 8.5 at the break and with a long homestand ahead, consider me interested.
  12. Fontenot/Hill/Lilly = laughable bottom 3
  13. Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com reports that the Rangers have "strong interest" in Xavier Nady. Nady, a right-handed hitter, could be used in a platoon at first base with Chris Davis. Of course, Nady is still owed a little over $1.6 million (plus incentives) for the rest of the season, so the cost-conscious Rangers will have to find a way to get the Cubs to eat the rest of the salary, possibly by tossing in an extra prospect. 14. and there's your leadoff hitter, folks unreal
  15. LETS PITCH TO THE HOTTEST HITTER IN THE NL IN THAT SPOT!!! UN****INGREAL HOW LOU HAS A JOB STILL.
  16. Cards blow another big lead! Fowler ties it at 7 with a 3 run homer in the 8th!
  17. I don't care that it worked for him, the notion of swinging on 3-0 with the bases loaded there is a ridiculous thing to do.
  18. Meanwhile, St. Louis have given up 6th in the 9th in Colorado and it's 9-9. AND SMITH HITS A 3 RUN BOMB LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
