    Agreed. Wasn't he rumored to have been offered the Cubs job--and although he was interested, ESPN wouldn't let him out or something? I remember really hoping for him at the time. EDIT--maybe I am thinking of Shulman. It was O'Brien, and he ended up doing Red Sox radio anyway

    Really? I can think of a bunch of PBP guys just off the top of my head who I like less - Buck, Brennaman, Stockton, Ensberg, pretty much every announcer employed by Fox. Sutton's really not bad, though I've not heard him much. Stockton is pretty terrible... I will grant you that. He is terrible in a "really bad at the job" kind of a way. He constantly says incorrect things. I guess I just hate that Sutton seems so smug and annoying. smug... perfect. So is Thom

    Go back and find Vasgersian calling the Yankees walkoff win vs. Detroit a few weeks ago. Just unbearable. Best thing he's done is host that baseball IQ show.

    The problem with Sutton is he overemphasizes every damn thing that happens in the game. I think Stockton is done with FOX. I think Brenneman calls a decent game but he's a douche no doubt. Vasgersian is also awful (doing Rangers/Angels today)

    I had no clue Sutton or Brenly even did national FOX games. I'm convinced they just get lazy and throw a paycheck at the closest PBP and color guy that at one point worked for FOX. that's exactly what they do. Started last year. Better than Buck/Brennaman. Are they still even doing games? I kind of like the Sutton/Brenly duo. Buck doesn't do a game unless the Cardinals or Yankees are in it. Brenneman still does games.

    Soto's been bad, but he has to have close to the worst BABIP luck in MLB history over the last 3 years.
