  1. Maddon needs to tear the umpiring to shreds.
  2. We all have our own ways of coping. I for one, clearly don't have a better one than posting knee-jerk reactions on a message board... so I will once again say I am sorry for that.
  3. We probably don't win game 4 of the NLDS if he doesn't get hurt, so that has to be considered.
  4. Next season: Fowler CF (yes, bring him back) Schwarber C Rizzo 1B Bryant 3B Soler RF BIG NAME OF LF Castro 2B Russell SS Nice Troy O'Leary-esque homer by Bryant.
  5. Hard to remember how unlikely it was for us to even get to this point when we got so close. Playoff experience can only help these guys going forward. Team will be a power house next year and F.O. will get at least another starter. Free agents will want to come to Chicago. Next season will be even more fun than this one. And we'll be rewarded. Just like the Royals will be when they take the Mets down in 5 (max).
  6. 1-1 called strike swings the entire at bat. Not the sole reason we'll end up losing the series, but a hell of a factor.
  7. Well if KB can put one out we have a game
  8. The true difference in this series.
  9. You don't want Cueto. Talk about a guy who folds in important games.
  10. They've mailed it in. Fans deserve better.
  11. Matz might as well throw a perfect game just to really rub it in.
  12. I can't believe Hammel can't even accidentally find his first half form just once.
  13. Tonight: Jason Hammel pulls a first-half-like start out of hus butt and goes 7 scoreless innings. Kris Bryant hits a grand slam off Steven Matz to fuel the Cubs offense. Cubs win, 5-1. Tomorrow: Jon Lester pitches 8 strong, striking out 12 Mets. Rizzo and Schwarber hit homers in a close, low scoring game that the Cubs claim on a walkoff, 3-2. Game 6: Arrieta puts the team on his shoulders and throws a CGSO. Starlin Castro with the game winning RBI in an eventual 4-0 Cubs win. Game 7: Hendricks struggles early but the Cubs manage to fight back and enter the late innings in a 3-3 tie. Chris Coghlan comes up with a clutch two out RBI in the 8th to put the Cubs up 4-3 and Strop/Rondon close out the miraculous comeback. Cubs in 7.
  14. So, it's finally BTTF day. We went down 3-0 just so the part about the Cubs being "100:1" could come true.
  15. Fowler = Damon Berry = Roberts Schwarber = Ortiz
  16. honestly I hope they win the World Series just to dethrone the 2006 Cardinals as the weakest team to ever win one.
  17. Can't believe this is how it ends. Even though it's nothing new.
