    Hendry ' if things get redirected i wouldn't rule adding another SP out' translation ' if we don't sign furcal i'm thinking about screwing the cards over on aj burnett'. IMO

    My main worry is that if we don't fill more needs through FA we will not have enough talent to aquire what we need. We adressed the bullpen and with furcal you lock up SS and a leadoff hitter. That would leave the 2 OF spots a sp and a bench guy to get through trade. If you lose Furcal you add the leadoff to the list and suddenly it all becomes a big ask. Especially in the current state of play with Hendry not taking offers on Hill, Pie, Murton and cedeno.

    IMO Giles was never available and i'm getting that feeling about furcal too. In the same way giles used the dodgers furcal is using us. Also noticed someone dismissing the idea of burnett, i feel he will be back in the picture if furcal stays home.

    If no furcal i get rubber arm in CF and look to trade for a corner OF. I then screw everyone else over by either signing both millwood and burnett or signing one of them and trading for zito. if i lose out on furcal i say its all about the pitching.

    Not only am i pissed that i haven't been able to get on here for a day but i'm greeted by this furcal crap. I'm telling you now he's going back to the Braves, Kizner is using us and the dodgers to get the fifth year. Mr Hendry Plan Abcdefghijk are gone get niefi macias and Dusty round the table to talk about plan Z.!!!!

    I still feel Atlanta has the upper hand. However much i want Furcal to be a cub so the pierre isn't i fully expect bobby cox to pull a rabbit out the hat.

    Only concearn i have about all this is where does cedeno fit in?. behind perez at 2nd???. If he was going to be 1st choice 2B why has he played no winter ball there

    He also hit 309 away from dodger stadium. This is too good to be true however starting to think about the idea of furcal and bradley at the top and i like it!!

    If anyone doubts the wiseness of Bradley, put the madness aside and check out some of his plays on his bio on mlb.com. the two assists on the 4/22/05 were plain stunning.

    Whatever you say about hendry and FA if he wants a guy and believes he can get him he usually does. If the guy is well out of range Hendry will stay quiet ie Giles. Jim doesn't buy dinner without a shot at dessert!!!

    If we get Bradley i think meat is bang on, hendry is confident about furcal and milton will bat behind him.

    Bruce levine on espn1000 reporting a walker for bradley deal being discussed. Why would LA want Walker?.

    so thinking about the figures would it not be worth the 5/50 if we got bradley for next to nothing rather than a 1 year rental of JP in CF?.

    I want Furcal in the hope that hendry will then give up on rubber arm in CF and look at a guy like Bradley to hit in the #2 hole.

    I haven't read anywhere that hendry has inquired about abreu. I know that Bruce mentioned he would be interested should he become available but that isn't exactly the same.

So that would leave Wilkerson which goes back to the point, is there isn't alot to choose from and the price could outweigh the gain. Sign Giles Hendry...........

    More concearning to me is the route we're going down in the OF. If we leave until only the butchers are available, teams are going to charge us a kings ransom.

    'No offense, but I wouldn't rate Greenberg any higher than a 5th outfielder at this point' I wouldn't rate any of the dead beats we might end up with as any more than that either. Difference is Adam won't cost us a whole bunch of $$$$

    Over here in the UK that was one hell of a summer, every morning going to manage a DVD store coffee in hand stayed up watching the cubs till god knows what time. Nothing could spoil that summer until game 7. How ironic i chose '04 to come to chi town and watch us blow the wild card.3,200 miles to watch it all go up in smoke, kind of appropriate though don't you think??
