  2. Nope, still looks like an old hobo. Maybe he thinks there's a game 7?
  3. Can anyone confirm that Lou has indeed shaved today?
  4. Because it's reported on a Blog. Blogs don't lie.
  5. That's why I buy it. Lou's behavior of late makes me think he's stopped caring. I don't know this of course; its supposition on my part based on the circumstances. I briefly saw a minute or two of the Cubs game yesterday....has Lou stopped shaving? The guy is totally losing it. Yeah, he looks like hell.
  6. Lou's obviously lost all control if this is legit.
  7. That was one of the most genuine moments of last night.
  8. he even has wood's ill-conceived facial hair and prior's floppy ears this might honestly be proof that god hates cubs fans And he has a Ex-Cub manager that pulled him after a reasonable 94 pitches. Life isn't fair.
  9. And Silva's composure.
  10. I would've pulled him after the 6th at 80 pitches.
  11. The dude can deal. Man, that was exciting.
  12. Holy [expletive]! That was amazing! I miss Wood and Prior sooooo much! Nothing like the energy of a dominate strikeout pitcher. [expletive] YOU DUSTY!!!!
  13. In Silva's case, I think that is only a small part of the reason. Silva's major difference has been what the fangraphs article pointed out earlier in the season. He has completely changed how he pitches against left-handers by relying on a changeup instead of his two seam fastball. That has turned what was previously his main weakness into a strength for him. His numbers against right-handers are about the same as they have always been. That might mean that he could have a improvement that lasts. Looking at his peripherals, his strikeout rate is easily the best its ever been and he's maintained his other numbers. Obviously he's not sub 3 ERA good (very few pitchers are) but his number suggest he could be transitioning from average to well above average. Credit LR?
  14. Well, C.C. went missing in action, Butters broke his leg and they had to shoot him, and Ski has been imprisoned in North Dakota, where they only have 3 seasons..... July, August, and Winter !!! and besides, he would have done the game thread in anime anyway, so.... what am I do ??? Well, I gave C.C. a few games and pmed butters, but no response yet. I say we give Butters until 8am or so tomorrow to start the next thread, if not, on to Ski! And if he fails, whoever is next! Sorry guys...I have a ton of family stuff going on right now.
  15. Thanks for the details. It's a joy to have a real SS again.
  16. Just got home, what happened? Great AB or play in the field?

  19. It looks like the front end got hacked. Gladly the forum is untouched.
