    What Rotoworld.com had to say about the deal: Derrek Lee - 1B - Cubs According to ESPN.com, the Cubs and Derrek Lee have settled at $65 million for five years. An annoucement is expected on Tuesday.     One less worry for the next 5 years! This is a deal the Cubs had to do. The No-Brainer of the year...It's nice to have players that just love to play in Chicago. When you listen to players like Walker, Barrett, and Lee they truly love this team! Refreshing...

    I couldn't agree with you more. I thought for sure we were going to be sound because we had a good fundamentally sound spring. Lead the league in fewest errors. What is it about the Cubs that once players wear the uniform they forget how to play baseball.

    I just hope one of our starters can go more then 5 innings or else or bullpen will be spent by May! Let's hope Maddux and Zambrano bring their "A" game. We need to make some noise this series or we might be 10 games out by May.

    It hurt nothing. The Cubs were losing when that play happened, and the Cubs lost even if he nails Freel for leaning too far. It's a play that has split second decisions. If Cedeno winces because Freel doesn't "obviously" head back to 3rd, the runner will be safe at 1st and then people will rail him for that. It's a situation where speed helped Cincinnati score that run. It's going to happen from time to time. I don't look at it as a rookie mistake in the slightest. A veteran could have allowed that to happen just as easily. Gimme a break guys! Ronny didn't lose the game. Rusch giving up a homer to Arroyo. Barrett giving up a run on a pass ball. Williams pitching in slow motion. Etc...It's a team loss guys...

    I'm worried about the pitching and the sloppy Offense. Another error today. I'm worried about facing Cards come this weekend.

    6 runs is pretty good for the offense. Not worried about the Offense I'm worried about the sloppy defense play.

    Jones sucks, but let's not overreact. If we didn't have Jones on the team Hendry could have given more money to players who deserve bigger contracts, like Neifi and Rusch... I'm fine with that, but Jones is Roberto Clemente compared to Patterson. What is this comparison based on? Ummm...Sorry but I'd take Jones over Patterson any day of the week. Patterson can't even start for Baltimore. Given that Jones plays RF and Patterson plays CF, why are we having this discussion? Apples to apples, please. Patterson v. Pierre and Burnitz v. Jones. Has it come to this? fighting about Patterson and Jones?
