    A MLB team signs a contract with a minor league organization that will be their affiliate. In the event that the Cubs have not renewed their contract with the Jaxx, they will find a new organization and sign a contract with them that will start in '07. Meanwhile, the Jaxx will have to find another team to sign a contract with. So, are there unaffliated minor league teams just waiting out there to be affliated with a ML Org?

    He's really a perfect fit for that team. He'll put up career numbers in that ballpark surrounded by that lineup. Mercy!

    I hope you're successful, having never attended a Cubs convention, I was wondering if serious Baseball is discussed or are Hendry and Co. just hit with a bunch of meaningless vanilla questions? Garbage like - Who gets to choose the game day jersey?, etc. Last year there where people from Blog sites and they asked some alright questions. Why can't we ever score from 3rd with less then 2 outs. Why we don't bunt? Why is Rich Hill untouchable? Why are our fundamentals so bad? Stuff like that...When Dusty first took the mic there were people booing him last year. In person Dusty has a lot of charisma and is pretty darn likeable, too bad he sucks at a manger...

    Is it any wonder why this organization is so incompetent? Middle of the order impact hitters walk. And the Cubs have never shown the slightest bit of ability (nor willingness) to "chisel down" an aggressive hitter. Freaking idiots. Complete moron! I can't believe he even said that.

    The Cubs were built on having a healthy Wood and Prior...Even though they haven't been healthy going on 2-3 years, once again he rolled the dice and lost. His only backup plan was Wade Miller. Hendry intentions of building a team on pitching is a solid way to build a team, unfortunately he has the wrong pitchers to do this with...He builds for the moment and has no clear vision nor plan.

    This team is a mess. It'll take more then one offseason to fix it.

    OR! The Cubs are taking a charter plane back to Chicago and suddenly the plane goes down in flames and they somehow end up on a deserted island. They all survive and spend the whole offseason trying to get off the island. Dlee, Ram, Murton, and Z find a way off the island by using RAM's "out-clause". The rest of team are left on the island, forced to watch the 2003 game 6 over and over again...AKA purgatory...

    He's probably going to get called up no matter what. At first I was against calling up Pie this year. After watching this last series vs. the Pirates.....I'd say do it. just bus up the whole team...I'm sick of watching the current crap on the field. I agree with you! I was against calling him up for next year also, but now I'd rather see him struggle then watch these stiffs!

    I highly doubt it. So many crazy things and futile events have happened this year and not one single person has been fired. I mean come on, Clines, Sarge, and Baker are still here which I find the most ridiculous thing possible. How in the hell have all these guys kept their jobs?

    Might as well go for the high draft pick. What else is there to play for? can someone fill me in who knows alot by amautuer baseball. Lets say we are picking top 3...is there a saviour out there? An Arod? A Joe Mauer? A Johan Santana? or are we pretty much F'ed. Yes, we are F'ed because we have become fans to this pathetic franchise. It hurts. Curse my Dad for taking me to Cubs games when I was 5. This team is a drug. They are bad for you..yet you can't stay away. They will play good for a week, month, or even now and then have a fluke season to strengthen that addiction. But in the end..it leads to dissaster. Just drink more. Works for me!
