  1. It actually is a pretty good site. I visit it daily. He doesn't too much of the rumor thing. But again it's just a rumor, although dones't seem like a far fetched one.
  2. Source: http://bleedcubbieblue.com/ Is it me or is Hendry getting dumber and dumber with every passing day? Ugh. Why are you using some random speculation by a person not connected to the Cubs to attack Hendry? Did Hendry say GMJR is a target? Did Hendry say Murton is on the trading block? Let's citicize Hendry on his actions or his statements and not on someone's speculation as to what might happen in the offseason. We can do that all day long without the above posted rumor. It's not hard to pile on Hendry or MacPhail for that matter. And quite frankly they deserve it.
  3. I just say that Zambrano pitched 128 pitches? WTF! Thank god Dusty is gone!
  4. Not only that but the chances of Sarge Jr repeating this years number are slim at best....
  5. What the hell give him a 2 year deal and see what happens. In dusty we trusty right? All kidding aside I not only want Dusty gone but take Hendry and MacPhail with you.

  7. If Dierker does get the job I think he owes you a commission check.
  8. Wow! Very cool! I hope he plays the last game of the year. This team needs, and I mean NEEEDS a feel good moment.
  9. We were discussing this yesterday viewtopic.php?t=35679
  10. I don't see the humor. Haha, dead guy, toilet, cubs suck. Haha. Now that wasn't funny! See the difference?
  11. I couldn't agree more, but I don't think Telander was slapping a brain-dead "bad luck" label on the Cubs. On the contrary: "Do you really think stuff like that just happens again and again because of bad luck? No, [...] the Cubs have something systemically wrong with them." Granted, he could've done a better job with the "systemically wrong" analysis that followed. Telander merely wrote a bullet-point litany of 2006 Cub angst instead of addressing underlying issues like OBP under-valuation, over-valuation of scouting and athleticism, mismanagement both on and off the field, etc. I don't think it was meant to be a analytical article. Of course not, but my point (and I think goony's too) is that he didn't write that very well. The bullet-point thing was just a fluff piece, especially following the compelling line about "it's not just bad luck" (which I agree 100% with). He didn't address anything substantial. Of course it was. How can you take a article seriously when it ends with It's funny...A joke...HaHa....Oh nevermind. Carry on...
  12. Oh great. Just great. :x He's not a leadoff man by any means... Gotta love this Organization eh?
  13. Trailer trash like yourself who can't spell? Hmmmm...I think we found a Sox fan!
  14. Same here! Thank god I don't have to hear their crap during the playoffs...Man, that is a relief.
  15. I don't see this happening. Bochy apparantly doesn't seem very likely to leave and Towers doesn't want him to leave. The two have a good relationship. Why would he leave San Diego?

  17. I know, but it was a entertaining read none the less. It's not a curse or bad luck just bad decisions.
  18. Enjoy! http://www.suntimes.com/sports/telander/77176,CST-SPT-rick29.article
  19. Makes me choke on my vomit!
  20. Wow, a guy with a 6.02 ERA has 14 wins on the year. Unbelievable. Jon Garland has 17 wins with a ERA close to 5.
  21. I think there is a great chance of that happening.
  22. Normar didn't have a position to play. Different situations... Why is shifting Nomar to a corner OF position or 2B any different than shifting Wood to the bullpen? Didn't we already have like 10 2B last year? And if Normar couldn't stay healthy playing SS having him flopping around in the OF prolly wouldn't be a good idea.

  24. None of those guys compares with Wood if he's at his best. The only reason he should stay in the pen is if he's physically incapable of returning to the rotation. time will tell how good hill, veal & sean will be. wood hasnt been at his best since 2003 and even then he was only 14-11 with a 3.20 era. a good year but not exactly a great year. wood had (has?) great stuff but it never really translated to production on the mound. That's only if you count win/loss record as production on the mound, and we all know you don't do that if you want to make a reasonable point. Even if you coun't W/L records he's still close to 20 games above the .500 mark in his career.
  25. It's a no-brainer. The guy want's to stay, loves it here, and I'm sure will take a low salary with incentives. Get it done Jim!
