  1. That's hard to say. The majority of the players don't have the reputation of Milton Bradley so they wouldn't be in that situation. Whatever the case the Padres knew what they were getting when they got Bradley, and you've seen first hand why he has a bad rep. At the worst possible time of the year... That almost sounds like your trying to imply that Bradley's reputation is reason for the umpire to say to him what he allegedly said. It doesn't help his case... Come on, so you're implying that the umpires actions are understandable and Bradley's are reprehensible? If we are to believe the initial reports, it's pretty clear that the guy in a position of authority yelling out racial slurs was in the wrong. Shouldn't the ump be the one that should suck it up and be a man? If someone should be held to higher standards, it's him. Bradley just acknowledged a fan that thought the ump made a bad call, and the ump went off at him. Of course he should. But he wasn't the one jumping up and down like a two year old now was he? No. He was the one allegedly yelling racial slurs at a known hot head and the one who essentially instigated the encounter. Racial Slurs? Don't know where you got that? I just read two articles and it said noting about racial slurs.

  5. This is exactly why I was against bringing Bradley to the Cubs. Being a huge moron more than offsets a good OPS. Considering what it appears was said, I think Milton's actions can be understood, if not justified. Not really...He could've just let it go and dealt with it after the game. His antics where immature and stupid. Regardless what the ump said, suck it up, and deal with it like a man. Instead of looking like a child. Good lord there is only a handful of games left and your team needs you...
  6. Plus, we aren't facing quaility pitching. The whole Marlins series the pitchers have ERA in the 5's. If you can't take 2/3 or sweep these guys you might as well pack it up. This should be over by Friday.
  7. Torn ACL. What a complete idiot Bradley is. C'mon! Your team is in the race and you're worried about what a umpire says?
  8. What do you mean? Are the lineups posted yet? The Cards have no choice but to play a junk lineup. Oh. I thought they were even pulling their junk lineup for even more junk lineup. They'll win 1 of these games. I'm thinking today Wainwright steps up. Hell, they just beat Oswalt last night. So they aren't useles.. Hopefully.
  9. What do you mean? Are the lineups posted yet?
  10. No way! Tony has too much ego to do that. He wants to end in a bang. Brewers are going to have their hands full...As is the Cubs.
  11. C.C.

    NL MVP?

When you trade away your entire team away you're bound to find young talent.
  12. I agree. Helton was just standing there and I'd love to know what he was really thinking when this was going on. He's in the playoff hunt right now so it would help his team if Bradley is suspended. This could turn out to be a very interesting situation. A good ump is never noticed and this guy, if this is true, should be severely punished imo. An ump baiting a player is just ridicules. It is but how do you get caught up in all of this in a pennant race? Just ignore the situation or deal with it some other way.
  13. It would be sweet to be up 4 games up with 6 to play! C'mon Wainwright!
  14. I could not stop laughing. Only Baseball players have injuries like this,,,
  15. Just got home from my Son's baptism. Is Zambrano alright? Was it just cramping?
  16. I'm off to my Son's baptism. I'll send out a prayer for our team...
  17. 86, actually. Oops! Yes 86.
  18. Win today... 2/3 in Florida 1/3 in Cincy. They will clinch on Friday and pull their starters for the next two games. Finish the season with 85 wins
  19. Theriot Marmol Lilly Lee Ram
  20. Zambrano needs to pitch a great game. This is a kinda game in crutch time that Aces step up. Time to Man up!
  21. Man, that will be one fun weekend. Shh! One step at a time.
  22. That's the key. If the Cubs win tomorrow we could very well make this happen before the Cincy series. I think the Braves have a great chance to win the game tomorrow and Monday the Cards have Wainwright going against Bush. We could gain a ton of ground in a hurry!
  23. Is he serious? What luck! We haven't won squat in almost 100 years! Gimme a flippin' break!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't let it bother you. That's just frustration. Their team save for their hot start hasn't done squat. Exactly. We'd be saying the same crap if things were flipped around. The Brewers started the year and looked like they were going to go to the playoffs for the first time in a long time. Can't really blame fans for getting upset and frustrated about losing a big lead in the division and not being able to capitalize in this crappy division. But they do have a bright future. They are going to be a handful in the coming years.
  24. Is he serious? What luck! We haven't won squat in almost 100 years! Gimme a flippin' break!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, there is some of that over there. Actually it seems to be the same guy. But I will remember his words when we win the division next year as well. To be totally honest, I'm more optimistic about 2008 than I am about 2007. Actually, this Brewers team will only get better. They need another ace because Sheets will never be healthy.
