Yup. Actually, it was over when the Red Sox won game 5 of the last series. You two couldn't be more wrong. This game means nothing to the Rockies. They're supposed to lose this game because Beckett is on the mound. Beckett is supposed to be doing exactly what he's in the middle of doing: shutting the Rockies down and winning the game. I think the key game for them is Game 2 and that if they can come out of Boston with a split, they'll be in good shape. Now, if they lose Game 2 and go back to Colorado down 2-0, then they'll be in trouble. But not right now. Do you really think any of the Rox other starters can stop the Sox? Well I don't think the Red Sox are going to score 10 runs on 16 hits through 5 innings every single game. And remember that there is a huge dropoff in the Sox rotation from Beckett to Schilling/Matsuzaka/Lester. I think the Red Sox are going to win the series but I don't think losing this game is the end of the world for the Rockies. If the Red Sox lost this game, though, I think that would hurt a lot because the Rockies would have beaten Beckett. But obviously that's not going to happen. Rockies aren't going to out slug the Red Sox. Won't happen.
