  1. Haha. This is random, and I may be a bit immature, but did you read what some Dodgers forum replied to a guy when he posted one of the insiders rumored trades? I don't know why but I was LMAO. Note: Profanity inside http://www.dodgerblues.com//fanforum/nfphpbb/viewtopic.php?p=186758#186758 HAHAHAHHA I loved the part where he says the trade in terms of describing people ( a future ace, a serviceable 3B...) and then he gets to Pierre. I'm just jealous they can swear. It certainly does make it more entertaining. Less classy, but more entertaining. Please! Like anyone on here is classy.

  3. I'd be wildly disappointed if he didn't draw a single walk all year. .349/40-45 HRs/50 SB/.482 OBP Huh? Am I missing some kind of joke? Yep! And damn it's funny!
  4. Agreed completely with that. The Cardinals and Cubs have been back and forth to who has the highest payroll the last 8 years (right now the Cubs have pulled ahead and are looking to end that see-saw by widening the gap). The Astros have been close in a few of the years and well behind in the others. Everybody else is typically well behind those 3. In the years where the Cardinals had the payroll advantage though, they typically dominated the Central. If the Cubs are going to have a wide payroll advantage as they seem to want to do now, then they need to dominate the division as well. Even if we start the season with a $135 million dollar payroll I don't know if we'll be able to dominate the central because the Brewers have a good collection of young bats and are building around them this offseason. But their starting pitching and 'pen is still questionable.
  5. Your guess is as good as mine. If the Cubs land Fukudome, I think they will be more willing to trade Pie especially if Colvin is progressing. Hendry keeps saying Pie is untouchable, but I got to believe if Hendry becomes desperate for Brian Roberts, he'll put Pie in that deal. With Pie, Theriot and the pitcher's spot, the lineup has 3 automatic outs (save for Z). Considering his performance at AAA am I the only one that thinks giving Pie the every day job and not jerking him around might ammount to something more than an automatic out? You'd assume so, but until he proves otherwise...
  6. Where did you find this note? http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/
  7. A team with the resources of the Chicago Cubs should never have to think in terms of "windows". The Cubs should be a 90+ win team virtually every season. I dont think I buy that, but I do think they should be far more successful then they have been I don't think there is any doubt that they should be far more successful then they have been. It's really embarrassing they don't win the Central every damn year.
  8. Neh. You always have to look at the dollars and what makes sense. Get the guy here, but don't hamstring us even further. We're already carrying some contracts that hurt, or are likely to start hurting. yeah, but our current window is small...we have to give it a go Agreed. With the NL being weak for yet another year, might as well go for broke.
  9. It's not like it was a banner FA market this year. We didn't have many more choices (if any) besides K-Fuk.
  10. For like 30 times the price. You can't put a price on defense.
  11. Not having Hendry talk is always a good thing.
  12. I heart your av. I'm not gunna lie.. Im obsessd with Kim Kardashian..She has taken the medal from Elisha Cuthbert Her, um, lower body is beyond ridiculous. And the top half ain't bad either.

  15. The thread is getting weird. We need some K-Fuk news.
  16. I was wondering the same thing. I guess I don't watch enough TV. I've never heard about or seen this.
  17. We've asked people not to do this anymore. ever, or just in this thread? Ever. there'll just be a new one, like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1agzp_PM-Z4 It is not RICK ROLL. It's a song though. Holy hell. That's the best thing I've seen in a while. Funny !
  18. We've asked people not to do this anymore. ever, or just in this thread? I was just trying to lighten the mood a bit. No more Rickrolled. *sigh*
  19. I don't see it quite that way. It's a pretty big decision to go to the states to work. It makes sense to me that he wanted to wait until things got rolling at the winter meetings, then receive offers and finally accept a deal. The winter meetings caused a lot of people's cards to be exposed. There was talk of a 3/24-27m deal getting it done not too long ago. Over the past two weeks it's risen past the $10m per range to $13-15m per, and possible backend options or longer term deals. I don't see it as jerking around. I see it as building a market and bidding war that increases his value. At least he's not waiting until Feb ala Maddux.
