    There's too many if's in there. Not really. Look at it this way: if most of that happened and they were competitive, would you sit back and say "man, what an improbable and fluke-y season!"? No, I'd say kick-ass! But let's get realistic here, what's the chances of all of that even happening? I'd say pretty damn slim. It's fun to dream tho.

    Not really? It depends how big are the "ifs". Having two guys with little to no ML experience and expect them to do well their first year out are pretty big "ifs". As is Cole Hamels for that matter.

    So basically it's not happening. Which is our point. Let's deal with the real world here. The only way you trade Garza is if he doesn't want to be here or asks for some absurd amount of money.

    Right. It would make more sense to target a guy with a profile similar to Garza at the time he was traded (high upside, mediocre career to date). Hopefully you mean Keep Garza and then trade for a guy like Garza. I don't even like that. I'd rather get another pitcher via FA. It's not like we have a over-load of prospects to trade. I'd rather draft well, keep our assets and fill in the holes via FA. That's how a big market team should act.

    That's the thing you aren't going to get a monumental package for Garza. Say we do trade him. Then you are going to have spend probably more money to get someone like Hamels, then trade for another front line starter? Cut to the chase and sign the guy long term. Why not just keep your assets. Sign Garza, sign Hamels or Greinke type and be done with it. I highly doubt you are going to get a stud can't miss prospect for Garza, and that leaves another gaping hole at pitching. You know what you have with Garza, and it's all good, why trade someone like that? It's stupid. It's like all our mentality of thinking has turned small market [expletive] all of a sudden.

    10%. Sure, they'll throw in their hat into the ring for PR, but of course come up 20-30 million and two year's short. They aren't going to sign Hamels.

    Haha what? Almost everything I've read/heard/seen in the media has been about how the Bulls are probably still going to beat Philly. Not sure what a blowout will do to change their opinions about the Bulls long term (aka rest of playoffs). Btw the Bulls were 5-2 against the Sixers, Celtics and Heat without Rose (ok really 4-2 I'm counting the 1-13 game from Rose) and 4-1 against Sixers, Hawks and Heat wo Rose. I know regular season and playoffs are different but it's nice to know that we've beaten each team before without rose. They will get killed without Rose vs the heat.

    He signed my Cubs hat when I was working at the Chicago Stock Exchange. Seemed cool enough, but he was outta of there as soon as he rang the opening bell. I was just praying he would use his left arm to ring the bell.
