And that’ll do it (if you somehow weren’t convinced before). I’m rooting for the Pirates the rest of this year.

Starts at 40+

I definitely think this offseason is when Jed cashes in his prospect chips. I understand his hesitation last offseason. There was a lot of uncertainty around Morel, PCA, Busch, development of Shaw/Caissie/Alcantara. I think he has more data that will help him be more decisive in improving the offense for next season.

Nico 2b Soto RF Suzuki DH Busch 1B Happ LF Dansby SS 3B C PCA That’s a solid top 5.

Soto. JK. But I’ll dream of a trade for Vlad.
-
Sell!

Pinch hitting Mastro for Amaya, and not PCA, was such a bad decision.
-
Egregious.

A couple months ago I’d be all about this. But with Assad, Wesneski, Brown, Horton, and Wicks all having varying degrees of uncertainty for the 2025 rotation, I’m a little more leery of letting Taillon go. I still think you can probably use your prospect depth to go get a higher ceiling, cheaper SP for next year in the offseason. And then reallocate that money towards the offense.

Good start Jamo. Trash offense.
-
Yep. It’s when he’s the worst.
-
That throw is so bad, considering how much time he had and took to throw it.
-
Looks like it might rain for the next 3 hours now. Might be a 1- 1.5 hour window to get in some of the game, but will likely be delayed again later. So they may just wash it out.

Maybe we can at least trick someone into giving us something decent for Smyly and Ross?
-
Gallen was absolute trash and he shut us out through 5. Gross.
-
Kyle Hendricks turning it around is great. Glad for him and he can hopefully finish out the year to many standing ovations. This offense is complete horsefeathers, though.

Home team gets Roki

Michael James Busch! Incredible how well he’s playing defensively after how he looked the first few weeks
-
This feels like one of those games where we blow the game in the 9th. Really would love some insurance runs

Cards running into more outs than they are making with theirs bats

Try to get one more out of Assad?

That swing rework is working!

Anything that involves getting Robert, I’m down for.
