  1. I thought it would be interesting to find out what is the greatest and shortest distances the teams have to travel. What is the greatest distance that a minor league team has to travel to play a team in their league both by bus and by plane(triple A)? Also, what is the greatest and shortest average distance that a team has to travel considering all the teams in their league both by bus and by plane?
  2. Why would anyone want Trot Nixon? Esp. with the young outfielders coming up.
  3. Pie has all the tools and all the experts say that he is a can't miss, but we must remember that he still has to prove himself. He has a hard time with the off-speed pitch (which is not uncommon for young ball players) and his recent injury may set him back for a while. But one thing I have learned over the years, that the experts DO know what they are talking about and that a player does not have to tear up a league before he is considered a real prospect.
  4. Welcome aboard. I have never listened to you but I will now for sure.
  5. What does hitting the ball over the fence when someone lobs it up there mean anyway?
  6. Serigo Garcia had been suspended for violating the performing-enhancing drug policy. Not the professional golfer but a Jacksonville Suns utility player who beat the Diamond Jaxx with a base hit earlier this year. He was one of five minor league players suspended.
  7. Every time I see Cubway's name, I feel compelled to try to order a 6 inch meatball with cheese, onions and green peppers on wheat. Yeah, it's always good to stay healthy by ordering that wheat bread. Do you get a diet coke with your Big Macs? I have never eaten a Big Mac. True story. Cubway wishes that Cubway really did equal Ron Potesta.
  8. How can you tell if someone is a good announcer? Just pull up some other games on the internet, both major and minor, and compare. Then you would have to say the Ron Potesta is one of the best.
  9. I'm sure they'd be getting thier arms in shape weeks before the competition, and not just going in and throwing 7 innings cold. It takes all spring for a pitcher to get his arm in shape just to start the season, not to go 9 innings , just start. And I am sure they start getting ready on their own before that. Then they have the whole season after that. I just think it is too much strain on their arms and the risk is too great. The main season is here in the U.S. and that is enough. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe I am just dreaming of all the arm problems in the major and minor leagues.
  10. I think the world games would be interesting. But I have some questions. The winter leagues will be over or just concluding. Their pitchers will be ready. But what about our pitching? Are we going to risk injury when our pitchers should be in spring training at this time working a few innings at a time to get ready for the season. Other sports can do this but I do not think baseball can because of the pitching element. Pitchers have a hard time not hurting their arms as it is. Major and Minor League baseball is enough for me. I for one do not want baseball to go world wide. We have enough competition and travel as it is. I do not want to be negative but someone please tell me what I am missing.
