    Seriously, the Rose Bowl is unquestionably the biggest bowl game. Notre Dame is probably the best job in college football. Michigan is certainly bigger than Nebraska. Alabama may have a good argument, but Michigan is still better in my opinion. I think it varies by geographic regions. Everything you just said is probably what most people from that area would say. If you came to the South the majority of people would probably have a different opinion.

That's like saying the Cubs have sucked only since they won their last World Series. um, no. i mean last year they played all the "named" bowls, then had one more game which was the NC game. OSU vs. Florida wasn't in a branded bowl Either way...you were wrong. You said the payout of the Rose Bowl made it better than the Sugar Bowl. I proved to you that they were the same. they were the same last year, yes. For years, the Rose Bowl was the highest paying bowl game We were talking about the present, not the past.

    But, I can't discount race because people aren't talking about Raffy and Mac because they're not black. You're completely right- the record plays a huge role. Maybe even 100%, I don't know. And maybe his jerk personality plays a role. But, I can't help but wonder about race in this situation when the darkest dude catches the most heat. In the NFL, black players are getting a pass when they get busted (Harrison, Merriman), so maybe that should set me at ease and let me know for sure it's the record or his personality or baseball's poetic higher standard even though the game's had cheaters since it started. Ummm....they got suspended. What MLB player has been suspended for HGH?

    Don't worry. It'd open up a spot for Nick Saban to come back. He'll be pretty close to time to switch jobs after this season anyway. :wink: I'm sure he'll take some of the credit if they win the NC this year.

That seems like a sweet job and it just makes me wonder why people leave there so soon. (If these rumors are true) Bad luck is all. Saban is a douche and Michigan is the best job in the country outside of SC. Hmm, maybe so. Best jobs in college football, yeah Michigan is in the top 5 no doubt about that. I'd put Texas, OSU, ND and Florida in there too. I'm curious where you'd rank the PSU job. It hasnt' been available in 40+ years, so it's tough to gauge. Will top coaches be clamoring for it when JoePa finally retires? It will never open up. Joe Pa is a robot.

    I've heard Les Miles may take the Michigan job if Carr is fired. I'd hate to see him leave LSU.

    Best team in the nation without a doubt right now. Or, Va Tech was incredibly overrated (possible after their poor showing against ECU last week). The SEC East teams are basically playing for the right to be the second best team in the SEC this year. I highly doubt any of them can beat LSU in the championship game. I just hope LSU doesn't have a let down and lose a game they should win. Their defense will keep them in most games. The front seven is likely the best in the nation. Yeah their defense is really really good. I thought coming into the season it would be them vs Wisc in the championship. Now I think that it will be LSU vs Oklahoma. I just dont see any team in the Big12 stopping Oklahoma either. We've seen that championship game before.
