I would expect the Pirates to be big players in the free agent market this year. They have been getting alot of ransom money lately from all those ships they've robbed. I look for them to go after Manny and another big name FA. -
Are you watching the same game I am? How could a QB play any better? did u see that running throw for the TD? Good lord. It reminds me of Manning several years ago where they are just laughably good. Yes im watching the game, and i have always been a huge Brees fan. But Tom Brady from last year says hello. Spygate hurt Brady as much as it hurt the Patriots IMO. It's not as hard to be great when you know what the defense will do before you even snap the ball. You realize spygate was revealed like AFTER week 1 right? So even if you want to act like it was a huge deal, he still dominated 2007 without any "help". The Patriots have admitting to taping as far back as 2000, the year Brady was drafted. Having access to that kind of material is probably quite valuable to the development of a young QB. Also, you can take away the tapes and notes but you can't take away 6-7 years of studying that tape over and over again. Surely you don't think Brady is just good b/c he watched tapes. He has a little bit of talent.

It will look remarkably similar to the listless 41-10 beatdown that we took to mark the end of the Tyrone era. It may be a decade-plus before we beat USC again. I'm thinking it will be worse than that, and I doubt ND will score 10.

Chances USC can cover 28.5 against Notre Dame. I'd say pretty good.

Ole Miss is actually a pretty dang good team now that they have someone on the sidelines who can coach. Orgeron was bringing in awesome talent but made Dusty Baker look like a Hall of Famer. Now that Houston Nutt is there, the awesome talent is developing and producing. Definitely hard to believe. They havent been worth a ish since Eli's last year in 2003. But they are certainly no joke this year. They beat Florida at Florida and nearly beat Bama at Bama. Houston Nutt is an outstanding coach. And Nutt was fired by Arkansas just last season . . . #-o I thought he resigned. He had an affair with some reporter up there, and wanted to get away.

Louisiana Tech just improved to 7-4 and probably secured a bowl bid. They'll probably get smoked by Nevada next week though.
