    First of 2 tough pitching matchups for the Cubs: Gorzelany is 10 in the NL (23rd in MLB) in VORP with 40.9 (one slot ahead of Cubs leader Ted Lilly with 39.1). Hill is 18th in NL (39th in MLB) with 34.4.

    If you need only 1 run, the bunt is the better option. It reduces the probabilty of a bigger inning, but is more likely to get a run in. Runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs = at least 1 run scores 64.1% of the time. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out = at least 1 run scores 69.5% of the time.

    Game cancelled - WGN.

    Per WGN radio feed, tons of water in the outfield, would take a long while to get the field in playing shape, and looks like more storms are developing to the West. They are not too hopeful about getting this in.

    WGN radio - field looks completely soaked with multiple puddles in the outfield. Not looking too good, currently a break in the rain, though.

    WGN closed feed is saying "some flooding on the Field" and that puddles are forming on the warning track, dugout areas, etc. Still waiting it out - looks like rain all night and maybe most of tomorrow.
