    Rest of interview: - Said he's having problems with his mechanics is why he's having a rough year. Asked about the Clubhouse with the trade rumors and how they handle it. - They make jokes about it, and try to laugh it off. They don't talk about it that much and understand that teams are trying to get better. - Lidge says he hopes they give a call before he boards the plane if he's getting traded. ----------------------- - Patrick says they are shopping Lidge and Clemens might have something to do with it.

    Lidge interview: - Said he turned his phone off and not paying any attention to the rumors, but have heard them. - He said they have had offers for me. - Said he hasn't talked to the GM or owner about the report. - Lidge wants to stay in Houston. Preparing himself if something happens, but he wants to be there.

    That's what I thought too. Maybe Dusty came out there and told he's gone.

    Why make a trade just to make a trade?

    This statement is so stupid on so many levels it boggles my mind. It might be beyond stupid. Why is it stupid? Cedeno is over-matched here, it's not even funny. Neifi, this year, is hitting better and plays better defense so why not play him over Cedeno right now? Keep off the Cedeno train; he's an average fielder in a huge slump.

    How many times does this question have to be asked and answered? The answer is simple. First, you get rid of the cancer that is Dusty and his staff, which has done nothing but tear down this team and it's players for years now. You get rid of his philosophies and coaching styles. The excuses stop, the attitude changes and you basically just clean-up the huge mess he made. 2nd, you stop wasting time with pieces of trash like Rusch and Neifi consstantly being used because they are the manager's pets. 3rd, you reliever the strain on overworked arms because the manager is so desperate to win today that he'll risk the health of any pitcher he has at his disposal. 4th, you start evaluating for next year, something that cannot be done with Dusty, because he is stuck in the past and refuses to think about next year. When you decide to make a change (which the Cubs should have done a long time ago), you make that change immediately, so the lame duck authority figure cannot do anymore damage and you can start fresh. I'm not going to say much about Neifi because unforunately he's hitting better than everyone's boy Cedeno right now. Another rookie bust.

    What's firing him now going to do? Seriously.. it's too late to do anything. Do you want Dick Pole as the Interim Coach?

    According to MLBtraderumors (i know, it's probably not reliable), the Angels offered Kendry Morales for ARam. The Cubs declined.

    Sad thing Perez is hitting better than Ronny in about every category but OBP as far as I'm looking on the Cubs site. Sad oh sad.

    That's all I'm going to say. There is no turnaround in sight with this team. Absolutely horrid and I don't think it's all Baker's fault. Like it has been stated, "God couldn't win with this team." Let him finish this season out and get a new coach at the end of the year. Firing him now isn't going to solve a damn issue. It isn't going to turn this season around by any means. Again, that's all I'm going to say. Pointless to fire him now almost in August.

    Why do Cubs fans continue to go to games? I understand our fanbase is strong, but why not make a stand and say enough is enough? I'm just curious on why you people think people are still packing Wrigley Field?

    SS is the leader in the IF. That was Cedenos screw up, in my opinion. I don't care who's screw up that is. Uncalled for by both of those two. This is the first time it's happened to Cedeno - the 2nd with Walker.
