  1. I'm surprised you guys would want 2 guys who are virtually Terrell Owens clones. Great on the field, horrible off the field.
  2. Looks like it's still raining, but not very hard. http://www.cubworld.com/category/a_cubworld_cam/
  3. Lineup : Soriano Theriot Bradley Lee Soto Johnson Fontenot Miles Zambrano
  4. That's how baseball almost always works. .250 hitters don't go 1-for-4 every day. Fontenot isn't a .250 hitter this year. Although, he is 1 for his last 13 though after that 4 for 5 baseball game. That is if you want to play the shortsighted stats game.
  5. Was that an exhibition game? Nope, I just find it ridiculous that people refer to stats from the month which are pretty much based only off only one huge game since it's half way through the month.
  6. Take that 4 for 5 game out in Houston, and get back to me on how good Fontenot has been lately.
  7. On 2nd thought.. I'll take that back about Nelson. They still wouldn't have beat LA in a seven game series and neither would have anyone. People seem to forget that Bryant missed 5 free-throws in Game 3 that would have made it a sweep pretty much, and Orlando shoot 62 percent from the field for the game. And this argument is about as asinine as asking: would the spurs with a healthy ginobili or the lakers with a healthy bynum beat the Celtics last year? We all pretty much know that answer, and it's no.
  8. And your reasoning behind that is? No one would have beat the Lakers in the Finals with the way they were playing. Not Garnett's Boston team. Not Lebron. Not anyone. Boston with a healthy Garnett could have beaten the Lakers. Even without Garnett, Boston might have a chance, but the Lakers would have been heavy favorites. Yeah because during the season with a healthy Garnett they took it to the Lakers. I'm not saying that Boston would have beaten the Lakers, I'm just saying that there's a chance they would have. With Garnett it's probably 50/50. Without Garnett, it's probably 80/20 in the Lakers' favor. Here are the two LA-Boston games this year: Boston led by 2 with four minutes to go in LA before losing 92-83. The second game was an OT game that the Lakers won by 1 point in Boston. The Lakers didn't exactly dominate Boston this year either. Not that I think regular season performance against a team is the best measure for the playoffs anyway. I mean, Orlando won both games against LA during the regular season this year and that didn't work out for them in the Finals. That's because Jameer Nelson wasn't 100 percent.

  11. Why not just move Theriot to 2nd, and put Blanco at SS? It's not like Fontenot is setting the world on fire.
  12. why are detroit fans sticking around? DO they think Bettman is going to give them an overtime to try to tie it?
  13. I agree ... fans need a target and MB is an easy one. Hes an easy one because hes brought it all on himself this year by playing like a little leaguer As someone who has not been particularly harsh on Bradley, I don't understand how several people here are defending Milton. Because he's the only one in the outfield hitting right now.
  14. He doubled in 2 runs. He made a terrible baserunning mistake, misplayed a ball into a run, and wasnt paying attention at how many outs there was, and threw the ball into the stands. Im sorry but his head isnt in the game plain and simple, and deserves getting on. 2 out of the 3 didn't hurt them at all. THe baserunning mistake would have led to Lee grounding out.. Bradley would have been stuck on 2nd after Soto popped out. Throwing the ball in the stands didn't hurt them either.
  15. Sit him a couple of days or DL him.
  16. getting? I was hoping they would show some signs of life offensively coming back home.
  17. NBA officials are doing everythign in their power to keep Orlando in this series. 18 to 0 - free throws.. hahaha.. in favor of Orlando
  18. Hoffpauir jacked one to deep center. Bourn fell down, and caught it still on the way down.
  19. Better yet just put him on the DL for 2 weeks. Call Fox up and let Fox and Hoff platoon in LF. I'll agree with that. It's obvious that this knee injury is really bothering him.
  20. Lou needs to rest Soriano. He's not hitting right now, and he can barely jog.
  21. Just saw in SunTimes that if the White Sox don't get it turned around - they might be dealing Dye/Jenks/Dotel. What would it take to get Jenks/Dotel to help the bullpen?
