Suggestions for Starting Game Threads 1. In the subject header, please start by putting the date and the team matchup. (Example: 4/18 Reds at Cubs). If this information is not included, then expect the subject to be edited so that it is. Feel free to add anything else you deem appropriate for the game! 2. Please include the following information in the message text: --expected starting pitchers --game time --tv information (just look on the cubs.com page for the information - no one expects you to run down all the various cable/satellite options) --You can add the XM radio info by checking in at the ESPN Schedule Page. 3. Don't start the next game thread before the previous game has ended. 4. Do start the next game thread the afternoon/evening before game day ... people like to discuss pre-game thoughts. 5. When you become the Game Thread Starter, please send a private-message to whoever is replacing you On Deck. 6. If your turn is up and you won't be available to start the next game thread, please let one of the mods know (start with me if I'm online). Thanks! 7. If the next day's game thread isn't up by 11pm CT the night before a game (midnight on weekends!!) and the Cubs are not playing a night game at the time, someone can start the game thread on a spot-start basis. If you're the current starter, have a win streak going, and know you might be late getting the next one up, post in this thread to reserve your start so someone else won't spot-start. 8. Anyone can start the Other Games Thread -- first come, first served.
