  5. it's doing that to me too. really? fiddling with the speaker plug seems to help, but I can't sit here for hours with my hand on the speaker cords. :x So I figured it was on my end.
  6. my audio is cutting out, so I'm rebooting
  7. Danny Haren vs. Juan Pierre 0-1 called 1-1 fastball high 1-2 fouled back 2-2 fastball high E-3 off Swisher's glove
  8. Thanks -- I edited the first post to add the gameday audio info.
  9. "Hey, Kinsella! There are Cy Young Winners over here!" :D
  10. Indeed, and if I may suggest, you could edit your broadcast thread to inform NSBB members that MLB.TV will be carrying all the Cubs games during all of Spring Training, in case if anyone wasn't aware of that.. Just a suggestion. *shrug* I will once we confirm that's the case. For whatever reason, the MLB.TV Schedule isn't showing that every MLB spring training game will be available. They do say "And, get Spring Training games – over 80 games before Opening Day" in the ad to sign up ... but that could mean some, not all, ST games. If it's on tomorrow, I'll add it.
  11. Excellent! Looks like that's the only broadcast there will be.
  12. It will be Angel Guzman vs. Dan Haren -- I edited into the subject. Are you sure it will be on mlbtv? It's not listed on their schedule (unless I'm looking in the wrong place).
  13. This is the rivalries forum .... and is reserved for baseball-related discussions. This wasn't a baseball-related discussion and thus has been locked. Thanks as always for your cooperation. :)
  14. My roommate says he runs like a yeti. belated YAY for PIE!
  15. I liked that ump's gusto in calling strike 3!
  16. He has. There was a lot of talk of that at the Cubs Convention.
  17. Then, in the next couple of weeks, there are hundreds of articles written about how the Cubs should trade the injury-prone Prior. Only half of these articles will actually mention the injury's cause, and those that do will stick it in at the very end. If Prior gets attacked by a posse of rabid squirrels, I'd probably advocate a trade at that point, too.
  18. It's time to ask for donations for the 2006 NSBB Predictions Contest! In the past, we've run the contest as sort of an NSBB Rummage Sale. Premium members can choose a prize; the top non-premium member is awarded Premium membership. The threads from the 2005 Predictions Contest are in this forum if you want to look through the '05 contest guidelines, prizes and winners. Here are some (not all) of the items that have already been donated to this year's contest: Ronny Cedeno autographed glossy 8x10 (Vance) Hall of Fame Museum Catalogue with Sandberg and Boggs on the cover (Vance) Juan Cruz autographed Cubs mini-helmet (Vance) Todd Wellemeyer autographed logo ball (Vance) Pat and Ron cd (NCCubbieFan) 1977 Cubs Roster Book (NCCubbieFan) DJaxx poster signed by McGehee, Craig, Sing, Greenberg, Shipman, Wells, Montanez and Nolasco (DJaxx) 4/1/05 Spring Training Len Kasper Scorecard. It's signed "My 2005 Spring Training Scorecard Len Kasper" (purchased at auction and donated to site) Official Cubs MLB batting order card (from 4/23/05 vs. Pirates) filled out and signed by Dusty Baker (DJaxx) Ron Potesta signed picture (DJaxx) Peoria Chiefs Metallica Jersey size 44 #2 Game-worn and auto'd by Joe Simokaitis, LOA from IL MDA (Serena) Rawlings Big Stick bat autographed by Jeremy Hermida, COA from Just Minors (Serena) Michael Barrett '98 Harrisburg Senators Just Minors action figure (Serena) *Please note that any items donated by DJaxx were obtained in accordance with the no-autographs DJaxx media pass policy. This may include items obtained from a third party such as E-Bay. If you are interested in donating an item, please just post here or PM me. The *only* items we would probably hold off accepting for now are non-autographed or graded baseball cards, since we have several to give away in the contest already. Used or outgrown jerseys and other cubs fan items would also be appreciated. If you are interested in trading a donation for premium membership, please contact Tim or 1908 directly. I'm including the following because I did get several sitemails from people last year who were interested in donating something, but weren't sure what. We are interested in getting a few more new or used bobbleheads/action figures (*cough*theyaren'tdolls*cough*), including those of non-Cubs. You can buy McFarlane MLB figures (the Derrek Lee one is discussed in this thread) on EBay and Amazon.com or you can save yourself the shipping charges and pick them at a local Toys R Us or Walmart (don't know if Target carries them). No monetary donation is too small. Any such may be awarded as cash or may be used or combined to purchase a gift card from Wrigleyville Sports. Thanks!

If you would like to ask Nathan a question, please feel free to post it here. This session will be coordinated as in accordance with The NSBB Q & A Guidelines as well as the NSBB Member Guidelines. Many thanks to Nathan for again taking the time to share his knowledge and insight on the Peoria Chiefs with us. Thanks also to the management and players of the Peoria Chiefs for their willingess to interact with fans here at NSBB. As always, thank you to all of you for making NSBB such a wonderful community! GO CHIEFS!
  20. Comment: I doubt Mateo will be able to stick on the Cards [25] man the entire season, he'll likely be returned by the end of Spring Training. Update from an MLB.com article.
