    Dusty is a good choice for a veteran team that has been intact for awhile. It really depends on what the Cubs want to do. I do think the main problem is Hendry (and MacPhail). The Cubs seem to lurch from plan to plan from season to season. I don't get that there's a multi-year plan ... and we haven't heard any multi-year plan talk for awhile, have we? Remember Dusty saying that the plan was to win, to get to the playoffs, to get the series, to win the series? What happened to that plan? I don't want Dusty back. I don't want Hendry back. I don't want MacPhail back, I don't want the Tribune back. I guess I'm on a multi-year plan and I'll accept taking a year to shed each of these anchors.

    96 mph fastball on the noggin-knocker, from what I heard. :shock: whoa. Well,Walker was hit in the 3rd inning and he stayed in the game, so hopefully he's ok. Holdzkom HBP'd the Chattanooga CFer in the 5th.

    One thing that sometimes drives me nuts about Dusty is that he seems to value loyalty to certain individuals above the good of the team. I think Hendry is the same way, which means we likely will see the Dynamic Duo doing their thang again next season.

    Funny, but didn't he do just that on April 9 when Marshall was pulled in his debut game vs. the Cardinals? I think he got the ground ball ... but it managed to bounce out to left field. (think that was Wuertz, but I could be wrong) Nice job!

    They usually have it be either the most recent guy called up from the minors or the youngest guy unless it's the starting pitcher for that day. Though I suppose it should have been Wuertz today (if it's the most recent), so who knows?
