  1. I went ahead and merged the two update threads. Congrats to both -- neat to have a battery mentioned at the same time! Ron interviewed Sean on the pre-game show and Sean insists he won't miss a start.
  2. 3-1 Daytona through 3-and-a-half. Alan Rick (DH tonight) with a 2-R HR. Now 5-1 Daytona as Jupiter pitcher Timothy Wood is replaced in the 4th. Veal still mowing them down, 1R/ER, 4K/3BB, 2H through 4.
  3. 1) Dopirak is back in Jackson; he had his foot surgery and it has been deemed successful. No target return right now. 2) Jake Fox is in RF for the DJaxx. 3) Today is Chris Shaver's 25th birthday! 4) As posted in another thread here, Gallagher's x-ray results came back with a severe bone contusion on his foot. Sounds like he's 'day-to-day' but he says he won't miss a start.
  4. Chris Robinson catching tonight and batting 3rd for Daytona.
  5. Thanks for the update -- glad he's ok!
  6. That's my understanding; he's dialed it up upon occasion but is consistently low 90s.
  7. I heard that and was going to post about it at the time. It was the last play of that inning. The ball was hit off his foot hard enough that it riccocheted to Sing at 1B. Hope he's ok! He was also nailed with a line drive off his thigh in Jacksonville; he'll have quite the baseball-sized bruise collection.
  8. It was Gallagher's 3rd win in 3 starts vs Huntsville.
  9. Pretty sad litany. Lots more in the article.
  10. I'll be very sad if he gets away. It will take a lot of creativity to replace him and put together the rest of the team ... creativity that I haven't seen for too long. I doubt it can be done.
  11. He wasn't taken out for a reliever, he just shifted positions. They don't want to lose his bat in the lineup ... or, uh, actually, they want to get his bat in the lineup.
  12. Nope, imagination. Then Huseby struck out everyone.
  13. How do you follow the Mesa games? Is it by boxscore?
  14. West Tenn clinging to their 1-0 lead into the 8th. Atlee in as RP. Gallagher's line: 7IPs, 0R/ER, 3H, 5K/4BB, 9GO-5FO, ERA -> 2.44
  15. Diamond Jaxx take a 1-0 lead on an Aron Weston HR in the 5th. Apparently the storm delay was less than 10 minutes.
  16. Rain delay in Jackson as bolts of lightening hit all around the park, people screaming in the background bah, Raisin beats me with the weather report! 18. Laura

    Congrats & good luck to Eric!
  19. That's what the latest cubs.com has to say. Maybe it's not accurate.
  20. We might not see him Friday. I'm disappointed, since I'll be going to the next two games (circumstances beyond my control) and, after what I've heard from Cesar-fans, I've been hoping to see his Mikhail-Baryshnikov-like moves out there! Instead, I guess I'll get to see Neifi batting 2nd and playing SS.
  21. Oh Shebash, I hope he doesn't overpay for Mulder.
