  1. If he wants to, he could easily be our starter in 2018. I don't see him wanting to, but it's possible.
  2. Matt Doyle's 2018 roster: http://www.mlssoccer.com/worldcup/2014/news/article/2014/07/03/world-cup-predicting-2018-usmnt-roster-armchair-analyst Includes fun gif's like this one: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bGqamCzK9eg/U7T2B_IT2WI/AAAAAAAABGU/B2pk_oESDOc/s1600/Nagbe-kills-Dallas.gif
  3. Pep doesn't want to loan out Green. He's got plans for him. http://www.tz.de/sport/fc-bayern/fc-bayern-2-green-will-jetzt-unter-guardiola-durchstarten-3671184.html I'd prefer he play 90 somewhere, but Bayern is Bayern.
  4. Yedlin turned some heads. There are going to be some big offers rolling in for him very soon. Kind of wish he'd finish the season with Seattle and go in January but strike while the iron is hot.
  5. I did the exact same thing, Landon. http://instagram.com/p/p7KhGHH_mE
  6. It's a good sport! 4-3-3 with their ages in 4 years ---------------------------------Guzan (33) Yedlin (24)--------Besler (31)--------------Brooks (24)-----------Fab (30) --------------------Williams (29)-------MB90 (30) -------------------------------Zelalem (21) ----------Green (23)-----------Jozy (28)-----------Agudelo (25) Bench: GK - Irwin (29), Klinsmann (22?) D - Farrell (26), Gonzalez (29), Palmer-Brown (23), Klute (28) M - Trapp (25), Zusi (31), Gil (24), Flores (22) F - Boyd (27), Jack Mac (25) Danny Williams isn't my dream pick and maybe someone will step up, but he's young and has the speed to help cover Yedlin's runs forward and help defend the wing in a true 4-3-3. Have no idea who the future #3 keeper will be so I just went with a half-joke/nepotism shout out. Tough to leave Johannsson out. He could easily figure out how to play against real defenders and be really good. I just think Boyd/Agudelo/Jozy fit into Jurgen's system better. Maybe putting Jack Mac in over him is a stretch, but I'm a sucker for guys that play with his kind of fight. Lot of Deuce in that kid. Russia is tough to predict because of travel and the US never playing well in Europe hosted world cups, but that squad is a giant leap forward in talent.
  7. Your best players are center mids and forwards and then filter out. Omar was a fwd, Fab a mid.
  8. Of the consensus top 5 or so best players of all-time, Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Zidane, Messi, Beckenbauer etc, only one of those players is an athletic specimen in the mold of a Reggie Bush/Derrick Rose/Rickie Henderson. That being Pele in his day. That doesn't mean athleticism isn't a factor. DeAndre Yedlin runs a 4.2 40 and in another life could have been an awesome running back or point guard. We are all incredibly excited about his future because of that. What matters is just getting as many kids playing as possible, as many scouts watching those kids as possible and as many quality coaches teaching them as possible. Increased popularity, MLS and more understanding of the game by parents will make that happen. Have the biggest talent pool possible, coach them well and identify the elite talent so they can be placed in a professional environment as quickly as possible.
  9. Brutal. No words for that.
  10. Really dreading Fox's World Cup coverage in 4 years.
  11. Seconded - he made it too close for comfort. Y'all can beat Argentina. Good luck.
  12. End of the road for a lot of good guys. They may hang around for Copa America but I'll never watch Tim Howard, Clint Dempsey, Jermaine Jones, Kyle Beckerman, DaMarcus Beasley or Landon Donovan in a World Cup again. That's very tough to think about. End of an era. Onward and upward.
  13. We fought.
  14. [expletive] me in the face. Mike Bradley to Julian Green is the future.
  15. Final pass & first touch has been sub-standard even for us, all tourney.
  16. Bout sums it up.
  17. Yep. No more call ups. Ever. But hey... TIM [expletive] HOWARD
  18. [expletive] you Wondo.
  19. Because their midfielders are way better than ours. It's about quick decisions, accurate passing and being able to control the ball with your first touch when it's coming in at speed. so its more natural talent than coaching on either side? we just seem to suck in transitioning into offensive pressure It is coaching, but coaching when these dudes were 6. Not today.
  20. DeAndre Yedlin is a special player.
  21. SHOOK ASS LION KNOWS WHATS GOIN DOWN TODAY
  22. http://www.espnfc.us/fifa-world-cup/4/video/1926668/wright-thompson-who-do-you-love
  23. Wright Thompson is going to make me run through a wall.
  24. Gonna see a lot of ---------------Omar--------------Besler -------------------------Cam Fab------------------------------------------Beas ----------------MB-------------JJ Zusi---------------------------------------Bedoya ------------------------Deuce That's straight up Mexico (with less attacking talent).
  25. ESPN has RUINED I Believe. I hate it.
