  1. for what it's worth, it looks that way to a novice, too. But what does Kobe Bryant think? Is he pro-James Rodriguez? What about Rihanna? TUNE IN TO SPORTSCENTER TO FIND OUT.
  2. Rodriguez is deservedly getting the headlines, but Cuadrado has been elite too. That dude has a motor and a half. Columbia might smoke Brazil.
  3. Unfortunately he isn't French.
  4. Sterling is an easy 100 mil.
  5. Shaw $53,660,000 Lallana $42,591,250 Absurd. If Shaw is worth that, what is DeAndre Yedlin worth? According to transfermarkt.com - $341,187. If Lallana is worth that, what is Michael Bradley worth? According to transfermarkt.com - $8,870,875 Uh huh. 100% too much is tea party level conservative.
  6. Solstice, shmolstice. It's not summer until English clubs spend 100% too much on English talent.
  7. There are so many skill sets in soccer and different roles for the same position that it's difficult to quantify or rank players. For example, he was a winger at Manchester United. The winger that replaced him was Cristiano Ronaldo. Their athleticism, skill sets and styles are vastly different even though they play the same position. He was both overrated and underrated if that makes any sense. He was incredibly fit, able to run and contribute defensively and offensively. He was incredibly smart. He wasn't particularly fast. He definitely got the most out of his talent and really refined his skills through an incredible work ethic. If he wasn't famous, incredibly PR and media savvy and incredibly handsome, he could have just as easily had a relatively workman-like career like a James Milner or Gareth Barry. Good not great. Valuable if not elite.
  8. Oh come on, get over your expert self. Ironic. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if that nerve injury in his foot that MB missed time for right before training camp gets addressed immediately after the World Cup.
  9. I didn't deny that he's been poor. I'm just tired of trying to provide context to people who'd rather just be like "WHATEVER HE SUCKS BENCH HIM." That's on me though.
  10. I'd be interested to see: ----------------------Deuce -----------------------Mix ------Jones---------------------Bradley ------------------Beckerman At some point. Not the time for experimenting and that formation offers no width but I agree completely that we're missing a combination player and Bradley is paying for it unfairly. Him being derided by people who check in on the US once every 4 years has easily been the worst thing about this World Cup.
  11. Do we have Berti Vogts to thank for the Kyle Beckerman revolution? This formation with the three, tough center-mid's started when he got here. It's the reason we're still alive.
  12. Remember how we used to dream about that Charlotte #1? Man.
  13. What do you mean "again"? Back in 2010, it seems like they would have had to win by 2 goals after England went up 1-0 on Slovenia early in the game. They were not in a true "win and you're in" situation. I'm so sorry. I fucked up. I fucked up bad.
  14. Algeria would love a piece of us. We could be their Ghana if we knock them out again.
  15. Think about our potential back 4 in 2018 with Fab, Yedlin, Brooks, and Besler. Lots of potential with that group. I'm really looking forward to seeing what clubs these guys move to. Obviously Fab already signed with Gladbach, which was a conservative choice before the WC. I wouldn't be surprised to see a ton offers come in for him which Gladbach could massively profit from after signing him on a free. Also, first guy off the bench, Omar, reminded everyone he can play today too.
  16. Heal Jozy, exorcise whatever is affecting Bradley and let's go. I'll take this.
  17. Diskerud for Zusi and Mix for Bradley Interesting...clone Mix. I like it.
  18. CR7 >>>>>>>>>>>> Messi!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Fwiw: Pleat former Spurs manager. Still tight with club. Maybe he's got the wrong SKC player?
  20. Schweinsteiger taking Dempsey down, giving him a hand and Deuce slapping it away is why he is a got dam national treasure.
  21. Omar, Besler, Beasley, Jones, Fab, Beckerman have all been great. Bradley good at times, would be great with normal first touch. Deuce isolated. Good effort so far. I reiterate, Fab should be starting fullback at either side for this German team. Very glad he chose us.
  22. Deuce's best anthem death glare yet.
  23. Omar & Davis are head scratchers. It does give CDM cover with Cam on the bench. Clearly the attack is coming through the right flank and Davis is there to defend and deliver set pieces but his speed is a liability on the bigger half of that equation. Obviously regardless of formation/selection, that German lineup would dwarf it on paper.
  24. So that's US advancing on head to head, since goal difference and goals scored would be the same? Yessir How long have I been looking at this? A long time. http://a.loudgif.com/UKPUom
  25. I see 2-1 Germany, 2-1 Ghana.
