  1. Jordan Morris is super fast, finishes calmly, has a prematurely receding hairline and dishes cliches in a nasally drone. When God retires a Landon he opens a window. Bradley was everywhere tonight. Man of the match. Yedlin, Mix and Beckerman also stood out. Agudelo has the best first touch of any of our forwards and is real competition for Jozy's spot, not to mention better than Johannson and co.
  2. Agudelo can still ball, man. He's really good.
  3. Lol Jordan Morris.
  4. 5 minutes in and I'm pretty sure Mike Bradley has already ran three miles.
  5. Tonight's game is going to be a mess. Shitty grass, B squads, Jurgen and the fact that neither manager is going to show anything this close to the Gold Cup.
  6. Between he and Kreis, City Group clearly likes a sharp dresser.
  7. New US home jersey only ok by way of not being a total disaster. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fuSbKFytRBU/VSfNjPSWK4I/AAAAAAAAhPk/sZlnSv9hf1w/s650/nike-usa-2015-home-kit.jpg Why, oh why, can't we just have the Centennial white as our now and forever home jersey for [expletive]'s sake?
  8. Eddie Johnson is retiring due to a heart condition at 31.
  9. Pretty hot goal by Juan Agudelo last weekend. http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2015/04/06/2015-att-goal-week-nominees-week-5 That first touch.
  10. Maki Tall is a US U-20 now. He was one dual national that no one thought we'd poach. He seemed pretty committed to France. Apparently he's a pretty good prospect. http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/maki-tall-19-scores-in-debut-for-u-s-under-20s
  11. I do this when I see professional cricket, even. I know it's an extremely lucrative sport for it's participants, so objectively I understand that there is big league competition to be at that level and make that money. Objectively I understand that I do not possess elite hand-eye coordination or bat speed but subjectively, I watch it and believe in the very core of my being that I would absolutely rake at an international test match level. Come at me, India. Come at me, Australia. Come at me, England. Y'all don't know from baseball. I'll crush tater after tater. Change the game forever. I also believe this about women's softball. I would rake Jennie Finch or whoever the hot shot pitcher is these days.
  12. http://www.noshortcorners.com/2015/04/sailing-shipp.html It would be a very good thing for Harry Shipp if he could get out of Chicago. Really think higher quality teammates would raise his game a lot.
  13. So we have friendlies with Mexico, Netherlands and Germany before the Gold Cup. The Mexico game will be a slog because neither coach will reveal anything tactically and we'll probably get our brains beat in by design vs those other two. Jurgen will want to humble the men before the Gold Cup so they don't go in over confident.
  14. It doesn't get better than his show I'm excited for Bomani Jones' show. Hopefully espn doesn't water him down.
  15. I think Boers and Bernstein is as good as traditional sports radio gets. Obviously that's a reflection of the medium, but they're very good. Take a listen to stuff from the east coast or outlying markets like where I live in phoenix. Sports radio is either the terrible smarmy sycophant + bad ex jock combo (local shows, especially in minor markets), too uncritical (stuff like Mike and Mike or Dan Patrick) or takes sports too seriously (Northeast corridor lunatics like Francesa.
  16. You do understand you're basically the Dan Bernstein of NSBB? He might not be the Bernstein, but he might be THE KATIE NOLAN OF NSBB OH [expletive] *FLEX BOMB* Is katie nolan jacking our guy's material?
  17. It's also impossible to say that Jason Kreis or someone else couldn't have recruited Green, Zelalem and Brooks. Or the guy who will be the best of the bunch, Cameron Carter-Vickers, for that matter.
  18. There was a way to criticize the way women in media are objectified by pointing out her hotness. There are thousands of people who would be better at her job but not look as good doing it. Bernstein might try to spin it that he was trying to point that out, but that's an impossible reach after he doubled and tripled down on the "boobs" stuff.
  19. It's not. It's a little chicken [expletive] to play along when a co-worker hijacks your criticism to be about sexual objectification.
  20. I'm really starting to wonder. I really only see actual value in it at this point if he gets the players and someone else coaches them.
  21. I guess it took the spotlight of twitter rather than a huge listening audience to get anyone's attention, but Bernstein always goes on jags about the boobs belonging to Chicago area media members. Like, often enough, that he's definitely going to be shocked and indignant that this is getting the reaction it deserves.
  22. This whole Jozy Altidore and Mike Bradley playing club ball together thing might just work out. Damn. Jozy looks like Sunderland never happened. Everyone else sucked.
  23. Vince Carter in New Hampshire. Wtf.
  24. Seriously now. Deuce just injured his hammy in training. Out 2-3 weeks. Why does Jurgen hate hammies?
  25. Hey look! The English FA wants to cut the Premier League off at the knees despite absurd profits and global relevance. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/11490370/We-must-cut-number-of-foreign-players-to-find-more-English-talent-like-Harry-Kane-says-FA-chairman.html Don Garber just drew blood high five'ing himself so hard.
