    If the Bulls match, they automatically get him back? Any word on the length of the contract? I know I'm in the minority, but I hope the Bulls don't match that. I'm curious on this, whys that? Because Luol Deng isn't a $12 mil a year player.

    There's no such thing as a "foreign player slot" in the Belgian league (a team can field 11 foreigners if they like; a couple of seasons ago, some team actually did). I should think it could facilitate a move to a bigger European club - as a national of an EU country, he has "freedom of movement" within the EU and he cannot be refused a work permit to play in say Italy or the UK. 8-) If so, smart move on his part. Very nice. I didn't think about that.

    It doesn't mean anything for his international career. It just means that he won't take up a foreign player slot on Liege's roster so they can use it to bring someone else in.

    I'm loving this Superliga stuff. All the games have been really, really fun to watch and really good. 2-1 Chivas DG over DC United last night. Jaime Moreno was denied on a pk in the 80 something. 4-0 Houston over Atlante as well last night. Tonight is New England vs Santos (on right now) and Chivas USA vs Pachuca. All games are on Telefutura. Benfica just signed Juan Pablo Aimar, so if we didn't already know, Freddy is on his way out.

    It also means we can stop having to throw him in ever MNT game we possibly can. I like him, but he has a long way to go before he pushes for Howard's job. Hopefully the Premier League will hone his game a lot and specifically teach when it's appropriate to come off his line.

    I've seen from a few sources now that Monaco have their future pinned on Freddy Adu. They really, really want him. I'd love it because he'd be guaranteed to get first team action. That's all I care about right now. I am skeptical as to how reliable this is but apparently they are after Bradley too. Some other interesting stuff in there regarding Onyewu and Mastroeni. Also, Nihat Kahveci has been ruled out up to four months, so Altidore is moving up the depth chart at Villareal. If their other striker goes to Feyenoord as rumored, it could be an all-New Jersey strike force to start the season.

    12 years old and only 75lbs, I am pretty sure my left leg weighed 75 lbs when I was 12. Seriously protein shakes or take the kid to McDonalds or something. I have a 12 year old brother. He's like 5'2 and one of the taller kids in his class. He's pretty solid too and I think he only weighs about 92 lbs. I don't think he is all that small. Remember, the kid runs all day long.

    Ok so I'm a jokester but now when I stick up for someone with a life threatening illness I'm the boy who cried wolf (no pun intended). I get it and I probably deserve it. Fair enough. Let me clarify. I apologize for sounding harsh but that's just bogus. What he did may be laughable to some of you and certainly unrealistic, but you don't joke about cancer. My aunt was just diagnosed for the second time with breast cancer so I know what it can do to someone you love. SSBW doesn't deserve this abuse. It's like making fun of someone who is on an amber alert or was sexually abused or something.

    It's insensitivity like this that brings down this forum. The man has a life threatening illness and all you do is bring him down. Nice. Real nice. When I read some of you people's posts I just throw my hands up in exasperation. I'm sorry for singling you out, you aren't the only one in this thread in need of a life check.

    The Cards are 28-28 the last two months. I think LaRussa may be capable of keeping them from collapsing, but my guess is they'll continue to fade. I agree. On paper I had them as a collapsing team this preseason, it's hard to view .500 as a failure for this team on paper, let alone with all the injuries.

Reading the article it seemed like Dennis Wise is the main reason NewCastle are very interested. I did find it interesting that Kenny Cooper Sr. is somehow involved in all of this. I am all about getting these kids over to Holland at a young age only to have them sold off by age 20 to a bigger club. Then again I also had a previous plan of sending over some of the worthless slutty US women to Brazil, have them get knocked up and bring them back to the states prior to the child being born :-). If Nike were really concerned with the future of US Soccer, they'd head down to the city of God with a wad of cash and find all the little Carlito Tevez's who want to move to Bradenton.
