  1. Only thing I'd add to your roster is that barring unforeseen circumstance, Jermaine Jones will definitely be on our WC roster. Castillo would have to fight it out with Bornstein if he converts.
  2. Telefutura's feed is so much better than FSC's. I think it's a low-res HD.
  3. Rogandino just called Holden the pride of Clemson University. That's probably the dude who plays for AC Milan.
  4. Stu Holden has balls man. He's going to be a great bench option. Unbeaten group stage record stands.
  5. Btw, Altidore's agent confirmed my suspicion that the Olympiakos move isn't happening yet. They are still negotiating with teams in the Prem, Budesliga and La Liga.
  6. Damn, that was a rocket.
  7. Really, there's only three on the field right now that you could even call prospects. Cooper, Robles and Holden. Neither of them will ever be starters.
  8. A lot, probably. Greece has about 4 teams in the top-100 ranking, but it's a big drop after Olympiakos and Panathinaikos. Olympiakos are currently ranked 34th, just below Espanyol (Ajax are 31st, just for reference) I'm sure I rate the MLS higher than you. Outside of the top teams that qualify for Europe, I don't see much difference between the SPL, the Eredivisie and the Greek Super League. So the debate seems to be: how do top MLS teams rate against Celtic and Rangers, Ajax and PSV or Olympiakos and Panathinaikos? I don't know enough about MLS to answer that question, but I'm open to your arguments. I'm not going to argue that they are comparable. I'm just going to assert that Jozy only getting 4-5 games a year against top opponents in their champions league matches and the two legs against Panatinaikos isn't going to make much of an impression on his experience level than playing 90 minutes a game in MLS. I suppose there is something to be said for living in a foreign country since that's where his career is headed long-term. If it's only a year though, there's no point in learning Greek and he might not get 90 minutes a game. He left MLS because he thought he was ready to make a permanent move to a top flight league and get everything that comes with that. If he had other options like England, Spain or Germany, I hope he chooses that. And like I said, I don't buy this report yet.

  10. Champions League, blah blah blah, they'll be in it for about 2 seconds. Honestly, how much better than MLS is the Greek League? Not much, I doubt. On World Soccer Daily today he said he had a lot of options to explore in England, Spain, Germany and other places. If he could've gone to a league that I could watch every week but didn't, that's a bummer. http://goal.com/en-us/news/66/united-states/2009/07/10/1375683/exclusive-altidore-to-join-greek-champions Screw that.
  11. oK......considering that the Bulls are one of the most tight-lipped teams in basketball when it comes to trades, etc, etc, nobody knows what is going on in the Bulls FO. Clearly he's saying his source is someone in the Bulls front office. This is a basketball team, not the Mossad. They keep relationships with reporters.
  12. He also said that Kobe Bryant would be traded. So, I don't believe what these people are predicting. That trade was actually approved by both sides and Kobe cancelled after they were going to submit the trade to the league. Bucher is usually connected. Maybe so, but I don't believe anybody when it comes to trade no matter how "connected" they are. Cause unless you are the GM/Owner you have no idea what is truly going on. I'm not the director of my department, but I know what's going on.

  14. No ethnic slurs here. If I were a mod, you'd get a vacation. BETTER NOT BE IN CANCUN, LOL
  15. I'm just savoring these times. This could easily be the high water mark for US Soccer in my lifetime.
  16. Ty Thomas playing for Jerry Sloan would be hilarious.
  17. If those pussies are resorting to this, they're scared. Rightly so.
  18. Can we afford a third star? Rose Joe Johnson Deng/Salmons Boozer Noah Could potentially do something, maybe, but I don't know if we can afford a Joe Johnson after paying Booz.
  19. Why would someone who is asserting that Rasmus isn't bad post when he's playing badly. OH HEY GUYS, NM, HE Sox. MY BAD. And then two weeks later, OH HEY GUYS, NM, HES GOOD. MY BAD. Nothing in his track record points to bad. Everything points to him being a pretty good to really good player at some point. i think the point was that we don't need an update every time the guy does something good. Well I'm in agreement with that.
  20. File this under unlikely but worth watching. http://www.mls-rumors.net/2009/07/outgoing-robbie-rogers-to-tottenham.html
  21. http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/bernies-extra-points/bernies-extra-points/bernies-5-minutes/2009/07/july-8-roy-halladay-and-the-cardinals/ http://blogs.nypost.com/sports/st/archives/2009/07/halladay_update.html This stuff, plus the fact that Blue Jays would probably want to definitely get him out of the AL, leads me to think the Cardinals and Phillies have a good shot.

  23. Rasmus won't be going. It'll be Wallace. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm16/dhohulin/strausstwit.jpg
  24. Haha, like I said, cringe worthy. Max just talks way too much. He's very excitable. Stutters, gets names wrong, talks over the game and often times puts his foot in his mouth like in the Grenada game when he told Sullivan he should rethink his coaching career beacuse Sullivan thought the Grenada manager should open up the play and wasn't doing any favors by bunkering. He did, the US scored twice in the second half and Bretos said that which was followed by awkward pause from Sullivan. My number one Bretos complaint is the affected South American accents and name pronunciations. Drives me crazy.
  25. L'Equipe is reporting Davies to Sochaux. http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2009/20090709_085343_davies-arrive-a-sochaux.html
