  1. The fact the Freddy is starting the biggest non-world cup game we have after playing 30 good minutes in one game in three years and that Bedoya has played in every win in this tournament after initially being left off the roster is a damning indictment of Bob's player evaluation skills. It's been 5 years, man.
  2. The lineup via Grant Wahl: ------------------------duh-------------------------- Stevie C--------Goodson------boca---------lichaj -------------------jones------Bradley--------------- ---Bedoya----------------FREDDY ADU-----------LD--- ------------the man the myth the legend-----------
  3. Oh, because he scored the probable winner.
  4. Regardless of outcome, extra time is wonderful for Saturday.
  5. HERE WE GO CATRACHOS HERE WE GO!
  6. Dos Santos with the blown chance. Were in stoppage 0-0...
  7. Or should isay, jajajajajaja?
  8. That was a COSTLY mistake hahahahaha!
  9. Why did De La Torre sub off Guardado for Dennigais?
  10. Honduras with the bunker. 11 men behind the ball. Bend but don't break (chicharito should have2 though).
  11. Honduras doing some dirt tonight. Geez.
  12. Should've been red for Bernardez. Guardado just got leveled with no attempt on the ball.
  13. ándale honduras
  14. Reliant is hopping for el tri.
  15. Guys...Freddy Adu just put us in the Gold Cup final. Holy [expletive].
  16. Bob will not stand for a Lampard-Gerrard situation on our team. This is Clint's team now. #overreaction
  17. Great article on Dempsey from Deadspin: http://deadspin.com/5813561/
  18. MLS has been freaking awesome this year. If you've got 20 minutes, check out the condensed game from NY at Portland: The skill, the crowd, Robbie Earle doing analysis...there are teams in the league who do it so right. This game had everything. Finally some real drama on American soil. Good article on Bedoya and the spark he's brought to the team: http://www.mlssoccer.com/goldcup/news/article/2011/06/20/gold-cup-commentary-bedoyas-big-breakout-us He puts in a lot of effort and sometimes leaves the final product begging, but he does bring some (i hate this word) swagger and pure hunger to the field. Something that's been lacking outside of Deuce, Bradley, Cherundolo and Howard. It's weird and an indictment again on Bob, that Robbie Rogers and Freddy Adu were both picked over him and yet he's the one getting major minutes.
  19. Obviously, we're a far more talented and experienced team than Jamaica, but there were some really nice signs of life in this game. First, Eric Lichaj has aquitted himself very well out of position at left back. He still isn't super fluid cutting in on his good foot and definitely needs some work on his left-footed crosses, but he has been disciplined, fast and strong on the left hand side. Having someone with his athleticism be able to cover blazing fast wingers like Dane Richards is a huge help to filling that hole. Bocanegra's communication/organization has been needed at CB. Agudelo. Agudelo was fantastic yesterday coming in for Jozy. He may not have the experience that will come with time and help make his decisions quicker and his runs smarter, but he was tireless yesterday. Constantly making runs, constantly showing to the ball and really giving the Jamaican back 4 fits. Bob. Nice 4-5-1, Bob. About time we made a legit attempt to make it work. Giving Dempsey the freedom to roam was the key. Steve Cherundolo was his typically brilliant self and his cover in the back and ability to get wide in the attack made Sacha Kljestan look like he belonged for once.
  20. In addition to showing Jamaica who's boss, our u-17's showed the Czech's with some style: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XgvcPv-QQg&feature=player_embedded#at=110 Some serious skill on all three of those goals. 22. Let's acknowledge a couple of things. First, an average night of finishing and we'd have around a 4-0 win which would be perfectly acceptable. This is true. Second, none of us here are stupid, reactionary idiots who want to fire Bob after every non-domination. But, how many times have we seen the lethargic performances starting games? How many times have we heard quotes like this: "“It was an OK performance: a little bit lifeless, but that's kind of the way it's been so far … Maybe the Panama game [a 2-1 loss] knocked some stuffing out of us.” -Tim Howard I know what you're saying, Tim. It's probably true, but come on, man. Screw your stuffing. You're supposed to be the big badasses on the CONCACAF block. Even if you have a bad loss, you come out and punk the next team that dares step on the field with you. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR LETHARGY. Bob is clearly not a motivator. Tactically, he's alright. He has some brilliant looking games and some bad games and people want to give him credit when they're good and kill him when they're bad. You know it means when someone is either brilliant or baffled tactically? It means he's not a good tactician. I'm at my limit, I'm officially in the "Bob Bradley is not our best option" camp. No matter what. Even if they go on a lucky run, beat Spain and almost win the Confederation's Cup after completely [expletive] their pants in the first two games and needing an inconceivable amount of luck to even make it out of the group. Oh wait, that already happened, and he's been living on it for years. Fact is, Landon isn't a talisman, Clint isn't vocal and Carlos is a laid back dude. I don't know who in the pool that should start is also a motivator, but we need to find it. This "lethargy" is unacceptable.
  23. Theater of the absurd for Deuce tonight. Jamaica might drill us.
  24. That was a bull [expletive] effort from Clint.
  25. Clint could have 3.
