Jozy just tied Dempsey's Yank Abroad goal record from last year of 23. Two goals and an assist vs Ajax in the Dutch Cup today. Obviously we're talking midfielder vs forward and the Eredivisie vs the EPL, but it' still impressive. He should break 30 in all competitions.

It's impossible to blow this team up entirely to rebuild in the draft. They won't get rid of Rose and Thibs and as long as those two gentlemen are there, the Bulls will be a playoff team. The trade market is the only way this thing changes and mega stars don't get traded very often. This is probably it, dudes. Third best team in the league. Trade for DeMarcus Cousins, hope he turns into beef mode and find a floor stretching scorer either via FA, trade or wait for Mirotic and hope he's real.

I think Reggie is just taking the fall as the bad guy and this is what Derrick really thinks. Which is too bad, if true, because I think this team, if fully healthy, could beat the Heat at least once over the next few years if given the chance. could be, but that doesn't really sound like derrick rose. i think derrick rose is the guy who wants the challenge of being the guy who "single-handedly" wins a title with no superstars around him. didn't he get criticism for not calling lebron and generally choosing to not recruit other star players? Definitely. Not that that dictates how the Bulls are run, but it sure doesn't help when your top player basically flat out says he doesn't think he needs to try and talk anyone into coming (and even kinda openly questioned the need to get another star). This is why I think Reggie's comments are troubling. I think Derrick and Reggie are on the same page about this regardless of what Derrick says in dry, three sentence press releases or whatever and I believe that when Reggie says they need to make moves and Derrick says he doesn't recruit, they're saying Derrick can beat the Heat and Thunder without the help of another major star. I think team Rose believes the Bulls are closer to the title than the Bulls and every sane person with a basketball opinion does and that with some fairly minor tinkering they can get it done. They're wrong, it's troubling and they need to stop going down this Jordanesque anti-front office path. GarPax absolutely need to get another star or two and even if they've never shown the ability to pull the trigger on a major blockbuster move that sends one of their guys out of town in return for a star player, patience is absolutely the right course of action right now. So while I'm not saying we should all just have blind faith that they can pull it off, I am saying that they've done the right thing this year.

The thing that makes the Bulls a championship contender won't be a series of smaller moves like Reddick or keeping Omer or whatever that idiot Reggie Rose thinks they should have done. It'll be a big, superstar acquisition which probably won't happen.

About time that dude did something.
